i guess sandy is in too..hes gonna be our liasion with SGWG.
and as sandy said..lets try this out for a month..if things run smoothly..then we can go fo a larger time period of rental. :)
 
I am in too but let me tell you guys... Dont ask too many people to contribute... Cause nobody wants everybody to have server admin rights cause that creates a lot of fuss... I hope i made my point clear... And yes trying it out is not a bad idea before jumping on a longer deal... As Karan is working with SG i am sure we wont have major hassels renting the server..

OT: this post is an OT post

its a nice gesture to gettogether and enjoy gaming with friends.

unfortunately i can not play because of professional commitments.

but i wish this venture a very best future.

btw is it possible to oversee the game being played or view the messages between players even eithout installing the game? (i mean i would like to be a spectator when you people are playing)

Its great to see such huge response... maybe we can hire a high slot server if more members join in...

Seeing that there are already 8 people we have decided to go for the premium account which allows uploading of maps, ftp access etc. Now we need one more contributor to manage the cost effectively ;). Also people interested in becoming admins [only paying members] may post here. FTP access will be limited to some........ :)
 
Well i am in too.

I was always ready for this. But back when i started hosting server there were not this many players that played CSS back then :P

Anyway count me in for contributing and admin both.
 
I think 2~3 people who have adequate expertise in these server setup matters should be allowed to admin the server. You guys should be knowing by now who qualifies for the administration of the servers so you guys decide accordingly amongst yourselves. and kindly let only one guy handle the monthly collections etc ....i propose the name of switch to look after the Money / Finance part (i.e. if he has no objection or problem)

edit: This is an additional responsibility on switch's part if he agrees. this does not mean he is not eligible for the server admin duty.
 
well...we need someone with a paypal account it seems :S
