THIS seems to be the only place where u can find the OCZ Value (VX) for $115
Yep, Atacom seems to be the only place selling the VX Value for 115$ (as claimed in the Anandtech value memory roundup article). However atacom doesnt seem to have too good a reputation, even though its listed as one of the authorised distributors of OCZ.
The only other two places are newegg and monarch, both having them at 140$+

my DFI NF4 SLI DR is now 100% reality.
He has confirmed 1 board and will let me know about the darky's board somtime tomorrow.
13th June is the date when my friend is comming back.
He will be doing purchase May END so i guess prices will be little down by then.
And I 100% want SLI. I will be going SLI 4 sure.
A8N SLI goes to sale today :D
next month month and half is gona go in exams anyway so i would be able to live on my P4 system till then if i find the buyer for A8N SLI :D :D

By the way guys. GSKILL is supposed to be the best TCCD out there. nothing beats it, atleast in TCCD.

hey juz be sure u have a 24 pin psu or psu with 20 to 24 pin converter & oso whether it has pcie connectors. Some highend cards like x850 xt needs xtrajuz la. :hap2: .Also instead of sli - ing 6800 gts isnt it better to go for a x850 ?? tho u wont have any upgradation capability (sli) for x850

BTW hows ur a8n sli?? upto how much can the vdimm increased??

DFI functionality with convertor depends on the quality of PSU. Couple of guys got it working 100% stable oced with true power which has 26Amps on +12V and 20 pin connector.
If you have crappy PSU then you better have 24 pin PSU.

Hello Rocky,
Me in an intension to buy a new rig this weekend from abroad.currently im thinking of any of th two bundles:
3200+ + Asus A8n sli
3200+ + Dfi Ultra d (non sli)
both bundles at roughly same price.Im not into hardcore ocing, tho wud like to try a lil luck.which 1 do u rcommnd? No plans for sli & im gng to pair it with a 24 pin 400w smps.Any suggestins?Heard this board is no good for starters?
Issit rit?Oso have u xperienced any bios issues?heard that there is some bugs in dfi bios?& lastly :) is there any service centres or distros for dfi here in India? Thks for tolerating soooooo much :ohyeah:

no DFI support in India.
DFI boards have SDS [Sudden Death Syndrome]
Have some stability issues.
Can be buggy with different BIOS versions, may be.
Lot of Jumper settings on a board which already has a complex BIOS,they say.

In short,its a purely hardcore enthusiast's board,not for a generic user.just my opinion.

For a non-oc or casual user the best nf4 -ultra boards are as follows
1) Chaintec Model #: VNF4/Ultra ..... usd $84
2) Foxconn Model #: NF4UK8AA-8EKRS , A big OEM mfgr. $104
3)DFI -DAGF

Well there u go....

The 1st point is the main issue wit this board.....if nythng happens u hav to send it back to US cuz no support in india.....

havent had ny stability issues as yet....but the ram i used wit my earlier config refused to boot up wit the DFI.....latr i knw tht the ram was at fault....but wit the mobo's onboard light's u can easily figure tht out......

yup lot of jumper's but if u aint gonna overclock ....then why even go for this board.....but there r only a few u will hav to tinker wit ...mainly the vdimm 1....nd given the manual its far too easy....

thou the bios is not that heavy if u aint gonna overclock as Darky said ...but if u intend to overclock....well just hope u find the rite page.....its so huge nd confusing.

Also as DJ said the chaintech vnf4 is a good board with not all the bells and tinkers but is fast at stock speeds ....dnt knw much about its oveclocking...

As for my opinion....why not get smethng wit warranty in India(Asus in ur Option)....if u aint gonna overclock......
Darky nd i suppose even DJ had/hav this board nd they can help u more on ur overclockin options.....

I can find my way out dude, just let the board arrive first.

Not a big worry for me bcos of those complex BIOS and jumper settings.

Anyways thanks man.

Well U :ohyeah: surely will.........who else on these forums(nd bottle :hap2: tooo i thnk) can boast of 2.9ghz OC  on a 3000+ .......

Good luck breaking tht 3ghz mark :cool2:

Btw was refering to hari :cool2: :D
