Gee ! just happened to see this month end special on OCZ El Platinum Rev 2 on newegg for 2 x 512 sticks:

Can't really believe what's going on ! A few weeks back the price of this RAM was ~265, earlier this week it was about ~225, and now down to $199. PDP pricing prolly triggered the slide.
