Diablo 3 Forum Filling with Hacking Complaints; Stolen Items
On the subject of Diablo clones, Grim Dawn is the one I am liking most. From the makers of the fantastic Titan Quest, it's the one to look out for.
Path of Exile I don't fancy much and TL2 is too simplistic (hope I am wrong).
Some good news .. atleast all of youcan check out the ping and gameplay before setting to buy or not. Diablo 3 gets "starter edition" free demo | GamesRadar
POE is always-online as well. And if I have to live with that, I'd rather play something with the polish and pedigree of Diablo.BTW, I'm also waiting for Grim Dawn and PoE. I even contributed to the Grim Dawn kickstarter. That looks like a superb game.
Did Blizzard support reset the account to an earlier restore point, or did he lose all gold and items?

Ohh damn, I did not know PoE was always-online! But still, it is F2P. Grim Dawn will be awesome though. I was actually playing TQ for the first time last week when I paused it to play T2 beta. Since the beta is getting over tonight, I'll be continuing with TQ from tomorrow.POE is always-online as well. Grim Dawn is shaping up to be great though. TQ has a special place in my mind.
Hi, has anyone tried this started edition yet? I checked from my existing Battle.net account, but couldnt find the option to download D3 Starter edition where they said it would be. Is this starter edition limited to only a few countries?
Got a guest pass from a friend last week, tried to play with him over the weekend but Blizzard does not allow retail edition players to play with starter edition players
Take the Monk class's Boon of Protection rune, which let a player's party absorb a good deal of damage for ten seconds. Community Manager Bashiok admits on the forums that this ability "was approximately ten times over its budget on the benefits it provided" and has now been "nerfed to the point of obsolescence until we can implement a new rune in its place in a future patch."We don't intend to take these quick and drastic measures often, but considering the severity of the issue, we felt it important to correct it swiftly," he continued.
Players on the forums have been quick to complain that the newly downgraded abilities will make it practically impossible to beat the game on the highest difficulties, where the enemies are downright ferocious. I can't comment on the substance of those complaints, as I'm still slowly working my way through Normal difficulty and finding it almost insultingly easy for my Demon Hunter.
Prettt I think this will answer your question.
I wouldn't worry about the always-online thing too much. While it's a real issue in traditional singleplayer games, in ARPGs the entire point is to play with a party.Ohh damn, I did not know PoE was always-online! But still, it is F2P. Most definitely. Blizzard never stops fine tuning and balancing their games. They are pretty much unrivaled in game support with regular patches and tweaks to game balance even years after release. In fact, Diablo 2 gets patches to this very day and the servers for Diablo 1 are still up even after 15 years. Also, looks like the constant tinkering with the classes and class abilities like they do in WoW will be present in Diablo too.
Oh and I hope you're playing TQ with the Immortal Throne expansion pack installed. It improves the game a lot.
In this day and age when expansion packs are just another word for DLC, Immortal Throne was on the level of Blizzard's expansion packs (which at the risk of sounding fanboyish, are pretty much the industry standard for expansion packs).
Doubt it. I think they even went ahead and removed all region restrictions in SC2. Rumors are they are adding a LAN option too. That keeps me wondering, will the upcoming expansion for Starcraft II have this always-on online DRM?
What masteries did you pick?Oh yeah, I am playing with the Expansion installed. I actually bought the game and the expansion a long time back in of the steam sales but never bothered to play it until now. My brother used to play it like crazy back then.
