It would have been fine if you were allowed to make a separate offline character, which had no relation with the online one. Its not having the online drm that is the main problem for people. Its not having an option of just playing the game without an online connection full time. If they still want online drm, have a check every time you start the game or every one hr or so. But not 24x7.

There are no servers anywhere near India but the pings aren't an issue at all.
And I am one of those who really likes low pings (I can tell between 80ms and 110ms in online shooters).

I am playing with ~300ms on the Americas server and it's not even noticeable. You do start to feel a slight delay when pings sometimes spike to 600ms but that's it.
 
^^ damn i'm always getting around 450ms.. anyway its around 1sec delay i can deal with it..
Just started on Sunday eve.. The game is amazingly good esp the music and effects. Started with Barbarian and Demon Hunter on Asian server by mistake instead of Eu server (actually never read the instructions properly after changing server to EU had to re-log and instead continued and reast u know wat happened)
they are now at both at lvl11 and lvl10 still.
 
The new patch hasn't yet gone live on Europe and Asia, only Americas.
If your Home Region is Americas (it is because you're in India), then the game installed the patch for you but you will only be able to play on Americas as Asia servers have yet to receive the patch.

Try changing your server to Americas and you should be able to log in. You won't see your hero ofcourse as it's on Asia where you say you've been playing.

The Home Region for India is Americas and not Asia as most would think. Asia only contains north Asian territories like China, Korea, etc.
 
Man this game is growing on me. Act III and finally its getting tough. Nice story-line to go along with the awesome boss battles. Cant wait to finish the barbarian and go for another class and higher difficulty. This game can be played for years. Great replay value.
 
Normal mode completed. Level 33. Barbarian.
Now looking to start Nightmare mode. I am seeing a lot of talk online on gold farming .

Whats the way to go about Nightmare. Just clear out everything on normal with the best gear possible ?
Focus on farming or do it in hell mode ?

Finish normal mode and start NM since leveling up becomes very difficult at Normal once you reach around 32...

Finished Normal with MONK which was very easy and started NM and now i'm feeling the heat of the game..
