You're pretty much out of luck at this point. Flipkart and Nextworld had only imported enough copies to be able to meet their pre-order requirements.
You can keep checking Play-Asia everyday but they are out of stock as well.

It's worth checking Play-Asia regularly if you are someone who enjoys a good retail box to showcase.
Even the standard edition is a well put together product reminiscent of game boxes from the 90s. You get a double-bonded lore book containing the writings of Abd al-Hazir and a Diablo themed notepad to jot down builds and stats.

Otherwise you can go for the hassle-free digital download from Blizzard directly.

It's really not worth farming for gear before Hell unless you feel under-equipped. Normal and Nightmare gear is worthless late game.

Play on Americas, those servers get patched before all others and any downtimes are dealt with in a timely manner as it's Blizzard's home region as well.

Asia gives me much better pings, but since it's a mostly Chinese/Korean playerbase the language barrier is a big turn-off for a coop focused game. So I play on Americas, ~300ms is not even noticeable anyway.

The same DVD will install on everything from XP to Win7 as well as Macs.

I am playing co-op with my friend, so having Asian people in the room is not an issue. But yes, the server maintenance priority is the lowest for Asia. Got the Android Battle.NET authenticator on my phone. The forums are awash with hacking threads and it is highly recommended to use one.
 
Finished the game on normal difficulty with Barbarian(lvl 32). Playtime was around 21 hours which if you minimize the auction time spend and any pauses would be around 20 hours. Bear in mind that Act 3 and 4 were nearly speed runs from my side to finish the game to see the storyline.

Now to start a new character(Demon Hunter) or move on to nightmare difficulty of barbarian? :)

Been playing on US servers with around 450ms ping which is absolutely playable. Data usage as I have noticed (for those interested) is around 11-13 mb/ hour.
 
im continuing barbarian nightmare. Its fun as the level of difficulty has finally increased and to you have to buy higher and better gear from auction houses. Loot drops have been ok.
no signs of getting bored till now. Will play a new class and character if it becomes repetitive.
 
Found this last week but forgot to put this minor tip

Using this Tip- you can use Chant of Resonance to extend time for your mantra without using it
Steps:
1. First select Chant of Resonance as passive.
2. Activate any mantra.
3. Change/replace the passive Chant of Resonance to any other passive
4. Now the new passive takes effect and also the mantra will stay for 10 mins instead of 3 mins.

But u wont get 2 spirit regeneration by doing this only time extension
This tip is for lazy people like me...:bleh:
 
Used this build for endgame in Normal- Monk - Game Guide - Diablo III
Used this build for boss battle in Normal- Monk - Game Guide - Diablo III

Currently lvl 43 in Nightmare and using the below build- Monk - Game Guide - Diablo III
For boss battle again replace Cyclone Strike with Seven Sided Strike and Primary attack to Fist of Thunder with Thunderclap rune if the boss moves around a lot.

Still figuring out which one to use for Primary Attack since all are good and i love to use Fist of Thunder with Thunderclap rune.
 
Yes, that's the problem, deciding between these kick ass moves is difficult. People are saying there is no way to experiment in highest difficulty, you either get a particular set of skills and gear or the Champion/Elite packs eat you for lunch, what do you think? I also read that you need to go to the Auction House to get gear good enough for Hell Act3/4, how was the AH for you?

I have 60 hours invested in this game and still haven't beat Normal difficulty heh.

Whatever happened to voting with your wallet :p?

I personally play live-off-the-land which basically means acting like the Auction House doesn't exist. I find it more of a challenge than just buying good gear for cheap and one-shotting everything.
After all, the itemhunt is a big part of Diablo.

You need to use the Auction House for Inferno difficulty which is incredibly difficult. But nobody sells the good gear for below 1 million gold.
The other difficulties you can beat by yourselves with some farming.

I did vote with my wallet, for one month :clown2: but then my friend bought it and I was like "savings can go fekk themselves, I wanna play co-op !!" I still don't like the DRM though, and there are times when the lag spikes hit and my monk punches nothing but thin air, not fun. And now I am broke and the shiny new lens for my DSLR will have to wait :(
 
AH is pretty sad, u got to keep your eyes open for good items to buy at the cheapest price, but there are ppl who just buy the cheapest item not to use them but to re-sell again to higher price.
Search engine is very good in diablo just make your mind clear about what you want in your item (Stats, damage, resistance, critical chance/damage.....)
 
Just bought the game from some Russian site for Rs 1700/-. Some dude on Reddit had posted about it. Registered with Blizz and now downloading the English(US) client at home. The client is 15GB in size!!??

I have one question, can I connect to the Asian/European servers from within the same client? Seems quite obvious that I should be able to, but just confirming.
 
You can play on all servers but your heroes and friends list will be separate for each server region.
Also you will only have access to the Real Money Auction House of your home region (Americas for India). Although you can access the respective Gold Auction House of the server region you're currently logged into.
 
Ok, thanks for the info. I'll try with the US servers first as I see most people here are preferring that. If all goes fine, my witch doctor should be ready to start his journey by the weekend. :) Cant wait. Hope the DRM is kind to me and I dont have to suffer because of it.

Weird, my download was only 8 gigs. Careful with them Russian mafia, they will sell you anything..
 
^Yea, I knew it was really risky. I waited till a couple of guys confirmed that it worked for them and posted screenshots. But, it was still very risky. Well, hope nothing untoward happens.

This is the reason I did not post the link here. I dont want someone getting screwed and then blaming me for it. :)
 
Is the russian supplied one a US based key or EU based key? Depending on that the RMAH access is based. Regardless, 1700rs is an excellent price as I dont think there is gonna be a price drop for D3 anytime soon.
