This one has great reviews and will fit your budget, I have kz edx ultra, details and bass is just great and overall very loud, that one goes for around 1300 on this site, i ordered from here only because its cheaper than amazon and headphonezone.

I have never used the Concept Kart site, and so I am skeptical about ordering from there. There is also a negative feedback on that page, saying delivery took 6-7 days. So, I might order from Amazon, even if it costs extra.

Where to get the cables if one requires to replace them?

It seems to be good for music, will be good for voice calls and chat too? One review said, was good for music, but not for calls.. strange.

Reviews on Amazon are mixed about these being comfortable... some say they are bigger in size and not that comfortable.. some say they are comfortable.

This is way over your budget, but these are the most durable pair of earphones I have used so far. Bought them in 2019, still using them with stock foam tips (yes foam, and those still don't need replacement). It is a triple driver earphone and full metal build, and although after three years of abuse it shows some discolouration of paint on the metal housing, but apart from that it sounds as good as ever. They've been thrown around in bags, jeans pockets and still standing up like a champ. Used to be 2.5k back in 2019, but prices increased post pandemic

I have samsung wired ones, got it with Sammy Galaxy S5 around 7 years back ,still going strong. I use it for my office calls.

Bought JBL BT headset 3 years back. Bought it to use during jogging time (Corona times).

Both have good sound and mic quality. I use them during my regular calls and watching youtube videos

It depends on ur usage how much u want to spend for it. If ur looking for very good sound for listening to high quality music, suggest u look for specialized brands.
For regular stuff, jbl sony should suffice and may not exceed 2000.
Boat is like jack of all trades, its does everything in wearable stuff and keeps low costs, I doubt their quality and long term durability

You should look for quality cable too and type of ear buds which are comfortable for u (in ear, on ear, over the ear)

My Nokia earphones that I got with my old Nokia 7 Plus were really great... I loved them. The cable was good and so were the earphones. But sadly, the cable wore off, and earphones dont work anymore. And nowadays, they don't give earphones with the newer phones, which is a shame.

I see that you lost foam on one earphone hehe. Same has happened with one of my earphones... lost the foam somewhere.

My brother had gifted me OnePlus BT earbuds a year back I think. They gone bad so soon. Now, even if I charge them and use, they lose battery within 5-10 mins and it loses sound in one earbud. Then it stays for quite sometime, maybe around 45 mins on one ear. Sound was good, but sucks with the battery. They did get dropped 2-3 times... so don't if that had any effect. But it sucks to see such costly product get bad so soon.

My usage is not much for music... more for voice calls on Discord, and sometimes phone, and I might use it to watch movies on my tab.
How to look for a good quality cable?

I would love over the ear headphones, but those are heavy and cant wear for long, and they are for listening to music mostly I guess. In ear are more common I think. If they are a good fit, they are quite comfortable.

I am thinking of buying the suggested KZ IEM earphones. I should give them a try and see how it goes.

BTW, I saw that the KZ earphones can be made wireless with some extension. That's built-in, or do I have to purchase something separately?
 
I have been using wired earphones from a long time and these are the ones I have used.
1. boat 500/- ones (decent for the price, they last long but bassy sound signature and overall not impressive sound, mic quality is decent)
2. mi dual driver ( these I have been using for more than 2 years, sound better than boat to me, mic quality is good)
3. CCA CRA ( these are not earphones but iems, sound quality is supposed to be better than most earphones, they are bigger mind you, mic quality is good in these and you do have option to change cables if they ever pose a issue)
other brands that I have seen lasting long with my friends are jbl and sony ( these have thin wires so need a little more care)

Thank you for these suggestions, much appreciated. So yea, as others have told and as per what I searched from the net too, Boat sound quality is not as good as JBL, which is superior.

Oh man, that's a really good point. I do wear glasses. Can someone with glasses using KZ IEM earphones share their experience?

I havent been able to order the earphones yet, because I have been busy and going out ... so was waiting to be a bit free. So maybe it is a good thing I didn't order, if these earphones might be an issue for me, since I wear glasses. Thank you for mentioning this point.

Been using my SA Raven for about 4 years now and have always had glasses. No issues for me so far. The ear loop design becomes an issue only with specific types of masks, as mask+specs+earphones all at the same place become a bit uncomfortable.
 
Cheap Jbl ones are good (~300 refurbished). I always keep one for rugged use as I need one to listen to podcasts while going to sleep. Basically I roll over it every night. Uses it for talk, travel, videos etc. Lasts 1.5 years for that kind of use.

Better to keep more expensive ones exclusively for serious music listening.

Okay, that's a relief to know. Well, I won't be wearing the earphones with masks, so that is not an issue for me.

I don't want to go for refurbished ones.. will go for new. Looking for 1K range, so they are decent enough to last long
 
Hey everyone. So I bought the KZ EDX Pro Wired IEM from Concept Kart, and I got them yesterday.

Was a pleasant experience buying from Concept Kart. I ordered on Fri, and they were delivered to me on Sunday... pretty fast. The original delivery date was 4-5 days though. So, early delivery was quite a pleasant surprise.

The packaging was great.

Coming to the earphones themselves. When I opened the box, it gave quite a premium look with all the components packed very neatly and nicely. The extra ear buds and wire in their own separate pouches.

I bought the cyan color and it looks great.

The assembling took me bit of a time though, because of the typical style of the earphones, as the wire goes over the ear.

At first, I connected the wires incorrectly, exchanging for left and right. I was worried if the connection would come off easily or not, but thankfully, it came out easily. So, then I looked at manual again, and then noticed the position of the earphones and the wire, and then placed them in my ear that way, and then figured out how to plug the wire in correctly.

The length of the wire is great, and the build quality seems excellent too, and it does seem that the wire won't wear out so easily over time like other earphone wires.

The only thing is, there is no option to adjust the mic to make it closer to your face. Let's see how that goes. I did test it for a few seconds on Discord and it seems fine. Shouldn't be a problem.

Also, no problem wearing the wire over the ear with glasses.

The 3.5mm jack fit quite nicely in my phone.

The sound quality is great. I could immediately feel the difference in sound quality from the regular earphones that I have been using till now. Even in a simple YouTube video, the bass was coming off nicely. I will use them more and I think it will enjoy the sound experience.

I got a case too with the earphone. It is nice, but I feel that it could have been a tad bigger. Like, I would like to just fold the wires in any way and then put them in the pouch, but as the pouch is small... have to make really small loops with the wires and then put them in pouch and close it carefully. But, when packed and closed, it does seem like quite a good size to carry around.

Honestly, in theory, earphones with swappable cables sounds like a good idea, even I like the idea, but for entry level iems, the connectors are a known failure point because of the quality of materials involved. Especially for KZ type c connectors.
