Mate, I must be clear to you that I was not buying from ebay for the first time. So I know how to handle the ref/AWB no. Actually the seller had given AWB = "my id"

Bro, you are not getting it the seller writes the Ref. No. in the AWB field as There is no provision to mention Ref. No. under eBay Shipping details. He does that because inserting AWB nos. for thousands of orders shall be very time consuming and prone to errors. Hope this helps

After 108 days of wait, my winter carnival gift reached yesterday :)

Except my name, phone no and paisapay id, the complete address was wrong. Thank god !! the courier company called me and i went their and collected the gift after producing the photo identity card.

Lessons learned: I will never ever buy anything using the promotion gift coupons, instead i will wait for 10% off coupons.

The Registration Address in your Account summary is the address where they should dispatch the Promotion Gits.
 
ebay when it comes to deliver gifts are worst

They dont even send a mail or a sms alert when the dispatch the gift

Not even the courier name

its just like cat and mouse

keeping calling their customer care
 
After a long wait for 1TB HDD Diwali gift, I asked them to send me a 5.5k off coupon instead (as someone here already did). To my surprise they send me the coupon in 2 days.
 
wont ups protect from surges? this will come after ups. i wanted individual switch extension to power off monitor at night. the belkin does not have individual switch. huntkey has but is too costly.

some UPS also have the surge protector functionality -if if there's a spike in power it blows an internal fuse instead of sending the spike to your pc. the fuse is user reset able meaning if it happens there's a button to press to "reset" it to normal working order..so get a good one which has the reset feature...ordinary ones can reduce the life span of your ups if there are many spikes...
