English TV series discussion

^^^ good to hear watching it tommorow...

the first 20-30 min(the car-wash talk......marie shop(house)-lifting again ) of epi3 i ...was cursing ...i would never watch this show again...

coz it was turning into a family drama

but then the 'lab-report in the right hands' changed my mind

Does anyone feel bad for turtle? I like how his character has evolved over the time. With that said, he is probably one of the luckiest SOB in the show. Also loved how Ari showed his emotional side, he has been a perfect family man so far in the series, too bad his wife doesn't appreciate it. I have truly liked vincent for the first time in the show, earlier he seemed too self centered to me, him taking pains to make his friends successful in this season is a refreshing change. Drama has always been there for him, he should have done things for Drama he is doing now a long time ago. Also, why is scott being forced upon us? I never liked his character, in my opinion Billy walsh is by far a much better and more likable character than him and he deserves more screen time. The whole season with Billy walsh and the shoot of meddian was the best season for me.

Speaking of Breaking Bad, it has been a masterpiece of a season so far. Not much on action but its a treat to watch these fine actors act it out so convincingly on the screen. Walt's character has taken a turn for the worst, he is slowly loosing his sympathy, its probably intentional as this show can only truly end with the death of walsh for all he has done. Watching jesse just makes you sad, what a waste of a sharp mind. Walt should bond more with jesse given how lonely he is.

How is True Blood going so far? After watching the first episode of this season, I didn't really fancy watching another one. I know they are loosely following the book but its getting just too ridiculous and cheesy with each season.

It has actually developed into a fairly entertaining season with a bunch of threads for the various characters and thankfully, no new additions to Sookie's harem yet :P

Probably will top the last season.

sharp mind??

he always goofs up

starting from s1 the bath tub killing,,...and once when the get stranded in the desert,to the latest forgetting to pick the bullet casing

i mean almost every episode recurrently

^That doesn't mean he isn't a bright kid. If he had used his energy in the right direction, he would have had a nice life. Just goes to show what loneliness and drugs can do to a person.

I have started re-watching "Hustle" and the bollywood dream episode in season 3 still cracks me up. :P

Just finished watching full Death Note series. Very amazing I must say..

+ the soundtrack Kodoku.. is brilliant.. sparks some kind of sadness withing heart.. I also played it on guitar.. very melancholic tune.

Trutle's always been the most gullible person in the group. He jumped on the whole "Avión" bandwagon way too soon, just because Alex coaxed him into it. The moment Carlos mentions Chase to become the face of Avión, was the exact same point, he should have realized that he was being used. Now look where it's got him;
Alex is gone and Carlos wants him off duty
Sure his character had slightly progressed, but it would have been great to see him disconnect from Chase's shadow and do something on his own. His last conversation with Vince in the latest episode showed some promise.

Lavin's a douche bag. His character is more of a pile-on for the core characters. Since it's the last season, we might as well ignore him. Walsh and Vince finally seem acceptable in their sober avatars. Also, Dice is just hilarious.

Dice: And what about you, Drama? What do you think?
Drama: Well...
Dice: Well what? You going pussy soft on me?
Drama: No, I'm not going pussy soft.

:rofl::rofl:

I like the current season, considering how pathetic season 3 was. The main plot is quite entertaining and provides and interesting backdrop of the Vampires. What I hate is; Arlene's storyline, Alcide & Debbie's plot and the feud between Tommy and Sam.

This is supposed to be in anime section not English TV series :P

Hmm ... I guess I'll have to give it a try then. I don't know why but I have suddenly completely lost interest in this series, this is strange because I was eagerly waiting for this season to begin.

And have you given "Hustle" a try? After recommending you Hustle, I went back to relive all the great episodes, I have now re-watched the first 3 seasons and its still great. :P Have also acquired the rest of the seasons in HD, so watching them again will be a different experience I hope. :D

I saw the first episode and really liked it. Slick and witty. BBC has really pulled it off in style. However, I have a question about the con in the first episode. What exactly did Ash do to the ATM to collect all that money?

^He glued the opening from where the cash comes out, now whenever someone wanted to get some cash out, the transaction would be completed but because of the opening being glued, the cash won't come out. People would assume that the ATM machine is out of cash and hence leave. Now, when enough cash was accumulated, ash went and hit the spot to get all the accumulated cash out. This could have happened on only on select few machines, thats why mickey was surprised when he learned that this con still works and that they haven't replaced those machines still.

You are right about it being slick and witty, just stick with it, it only gets better from there. :)

But if the transaction is processed successfully, wouldn't a receipt be generated for it? Also if the ATM is out of cash, then shouldn't it show a prior notification? It's strange how these people didn't find it suspicious. :P

I plan to, but it's the hour long length, which makes it difficult to catch up with the show on weekdays. :(

Not necessarily, infact this sought of thing has happened with me, only difference being I wasn't conned. :P Sometimes, when the machine is out of cash, it doesn't show any notification despite of behaving like a transaction has been completed, depends a lot on the type of machine too, in my case it was an old UTI bank machine.

Yeah it happens, when the atm runs out of those papers too .

NCIS,

NCIS:LA

So i think nobody watches these...

Watched 3-4 episodes of these shows from the respective previous seasons without any knowledge of the main plotline

found NCIS interesting....

CSI:miami was the worst..
