English TV series discussion

^^ True... Series like these can go downhill in pretty much the 2nd episode..! First 2-3 eps are very important to setup the premise for rest of the season to follow..!

Another brilliant series comes to mind which was actually cancelled even though I found it was pretty good..!

Vanished is an American serial drama television series produced by 20th Century Fox. The series premiered on August 21, 2006 on Foxand its last episode aired on November 10, 2006. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, the series begins with the sudden disappearance of the wife of a Georgia senator, which is quickly revealed to be part of a wider conspiracy. The family of the missing woman, a pair of FBI agents, a journalist and her lover/cameraman, are all drawn into an evolving mystery with political and religious undertones. The show was created by CSI writer Josh Berman, and executive produced by Mimi Leder, who is also directed the show, and Paul Redford.

US version is absurd. UK version is raw and fresh. The first 2 seasons are awesome. Third and fourth has some really good episodes, especially those when Emily and Naomi really form a bond. Effy goes completely bonker in these 2 seasons. Cook is hilarious, prick, but hilarious. Fifth season must have been the worst of the lot. I didn't find a single likeable character in it, not sure how I managed to get past that season. Saw the first episode of sixth season and called it quits.

That would be the fourth season and yes, they left us with an ambiguous ending. Not sure why they even decided to go with such an ending. It's not like this was a thriller series, which would have the next season picking up from where it left off.

Dunno why but i am still watching it, on 8th epi..lol Its kind of getting weird something which did not happened in any of the seasons. Watching it anyways.

Ya thats 4th. Rubbish. Although they are planning to launch their 7th and final season...which will star all the 3 generations character. I loved the 1st gen.

I finally watched Dexter season 6.

I had watched all seasons earlier but when season 6 aired I couldn't watch it. Just today days ago I got season 6 & finished it in one day !

I am not so happy with this season. Last two, Trinity & Lumen were kickass.

In this season I observed lots of loop holes & Dexter making mistakes. And also I felt the season is slow paced. The first episode was really good & snakes coming out of stomach was nicely set up. However I was very much expecting continuation from earlier season. Quinn in earlier season, gets pictures of Dex & Lumen throwing plastic bags [dead bodies] in sea. No mention of that !

-In first episode, he kills his classmate. But before that, he uses some chick's mobile to text him ! Dex / chick can be easily caught by this.

-He easily sets up tooth fairy's kill as heart attack. Oh come on

-In one of last episode, in couple's killings they wait till Dex arrives. Why is that

-Travis never imagines Gellar in last two episodes.

-That creepy Deb & Dex love-relationship part :-/

However I am very much looking forward to next season. Wondering how Deb would react ? What happens to love angle ? How creepy is the Luis [that lab geek who sends hand to the Dex] ?

Done sires....

Dex was ok this season, with a lot of twists and turns, but the finale was unexpected, looking forward to next season.

Now onto GOT S2 premiere, its gonna be absolutely killer..also waiting for Suits, another super entertaining show.
