English TV series discussion

So this is the final season, eh? Well, then I pray to god it goes out with a bang. Personally, I wish it would have ended on season 4, as it was a perfect finale. This would be quite interesting though.

Don't throw good time after time already spent. I have dropped so many shows once the quality started deteriorating.There are a lot of other shows out there worth watching.

Person of Interest finale was brillliant. Also, the PoI from the episode before that was Tim from Justified!
 
The 3rd Season of Big C is Better than the second one so far...showtime roped in susan sarandon as special guest star this tym...its a delight to watch Susan sarandon and laura linney,the two brilliant actresses together

Mentalist only has 8 on IMDB... you sure it's a Must Watch like Sherlock ?

Castle seems interesting. Same genres like Psych : Comedy / Drama / Mystery.

Mentalist is one of the best shows I have watched till date. Somehow I do not concur with Imdb ratings for tv series, as much as movies. Rather I found TV.com - Free Full Episodes & Clips, Show Info and TV Listings Guide ratings more inclined towards my personal ratings.

Completed the last 2 seasons of Psych and it's still awesome. However, some of the dialogues became repetitive and dull like the "You Suck it" and "I can't do this with you right now" lines. Also, I see the show still brings on a plethora of gorgeous women. :)

Anyway, began 'The Killing' and I'm highly impressed with the soundtrack used for this show. I almost got misty eyed towards the end of the first episode. Mitch's (Rosie's mother) acting is brilliant. Pretty good show, slow progressing like all AMC shows, but well made.

have mentioned about killing before. its a great show. little slow to start but keeps getting better.
cant wait for the season 2 finale
 
Anyone feels the GoT finale was unsatisfying? I felt season 2 as a whole was a bit mild in comparison to the first, it just didn't have the pace of the first. Episodes 7 and 8 were a bit disappointing actually, but episode 9 was awesome. The finale however felt abrupt and was very unsatisfying for me.

Anyways, it's still the best TV show running as of now. Will be eagerly waiting for next season.

Now waiting for Breaking Bad to start and later Dexter.

Yet to start S2

Still reading the book 1
finished 15% (eBook reader stats)

My reading speed is 138 wpm ( is this too low or normal?)
at this speed i guess its gonna take ages to complete 5 books
 
It doesn't matter what your reading speed is. Read at whatever pace you are comfortable with. What's the use if you rush through the book without enjoying or understanding it?

I think it's time I start looking for the books too.
 
I felt that the whole GOT S2 was like a filler. It had it's moments and i personally think the finale was very good as it had more content from the storyline with all the previous episodes put together.
However they have left us on a precipice of excitement and i can tell the next season will be more than brilliant because the story has opened up and there are now 5 or more threads in the storyline to follow.
