English TV series discussion

My goodness! Started watching Banshee sometime back and wrapped up 4 episodes in a stretch. This thing is good, I mean real good! Pure mature stuff - action, violence, bloodshed, sex, full frontal nudity. Better to watch this alone than while commuting in public transport or when parents are around. Will most probably wrap this up by tomorrow.

duel was kickass! I hope there's plenty more to come.

Yes thank you! I am hoping for more after watching the Sanchez-Sheriff fight. We were like, "Yeah, yeah beat him to a pulp MF'er! Break his bones, rip his balls off for what he did to that girl!". Pure hardcore stuff! I don't know how I missed this serial all this while. Good stuff.

Will wake up and continue tomorrow. Can't wait to see the Proctor-Sheriff action.
 
This is raw action and a very good one at that. I kept recommending it right from when it started, but I guess most were engaged in other shows and this got ignored vastly due to Cinemax's cheesy reputation. The hand-to-hand sequences are finely choreographed. Something I truly miss in most movie and TV shows these days. Sanchez's fight was what spiked my interest times 10 for this show. You definitely can't miss Carrie's fight. Yep, Ivana Milicevic kicks some brutal arse. Highly unrealistic, yet so satisfying. Hood is a total rage machine and Proctor's character is really interesting. Can't wait for season 2.

Any 'The Newsroom' fans over here. I am very impressed by this show. Both, this and House of Cards are the kinda intelligent plots that I love to watch, especially in one go. Please recommend more shows like these.

I like Revenge. Sort of a guilty pleasure. The plot line is OK-ish given it's not entirely believable, but Emily Thorne <3
 
I couldn't have said it better about Revenge than Alekh did. The plotline has kinda become excessively complicated for my taste, much like the 4th season of Prison Break.
 
Started with White Collar and am not particularly impressed by the show yet. Almost finished with Life; yet another fairly entertaining though cheesy cop show. I think people who liked Castle would like this one too.

Btw, when someday you guys run out of shows to watch try out my repeated recommendation of Homicide.
 
Done with Banshee! Hands down, one of the most brutal and fun-to-watch serials to have come this year. Not one episode was boring, there's so much action and violence. And the fight sequences esp. the hand-to-hand combat are so brilliantly choreographed. Story is mediocre but I don't care as long as the fight sequences and bloodshed makes up for it. The finale was also pretty good.

Eagerly waiting for the next season that begins Jan. 10th. :D

OMG dude that sequence was insane! I just wish it lasted a bit longer. This was a fairly easy one compared to the Sanchez fight and it ended pretty soon.

And how on earth can someone fight after his penis gets cut off and eyes gets poked?! Bloody hell! Albino was built like a frikking tank! :eek:

EDIT: OK and this is news to me! The guy who played Albino - Joseph Gatt did the mocap for Kratos in all the God of War titles! :eek:

Did anyone watching Banshee here think the face off between Procter and Hood in the penultimate episode was the best of the lot!
Purely in terms of realism and intensity!

The Newsroom is like a liberal-idealist's wet-dream .. HoC is on a different level all together ...

Considering how the fight started, it should have ended sooner. If we were to take that part out, The Albino would have literally obliterated hood. Sanchez's beat down was much more visceral and well deserved.
Still can't believe how badly he beat the lady up and raped her.

The entire penis slicing scene was unrealistic. There is no way it can be sliced off with a single blade in one swipe, leave alone surviving the fight for that long. But then again, I wasn't even bothered to analyse those things, as I was having way too much fun. I never thought Hood with go through with dropping that weight on his neck. That was insane.

revenge is a lil bit effeminate for me - at least the 1st season.. but i did complete the whole season , never got around to season 2..

I just loved this sequence so much! If there was a punching bag in the house, I would have gone mad punching the crap out of it! Heck, we don't have one at the gym either.

Too bad man. I felt really bad for her when she walked out of his vanity van and fainted. Terrible! Imagine the plight of that Delhi rape victim? :(
