English TV series discussion

Archer, The office, coupling, peep show, it crowd is laugh so hard that you pee in the pants hilarious. Modern family is not. Also, the show always introduces sentimental elements from time to time which sidetracks the comedy part sometimes. Peep show, on the other hand is so clever , it absolutely avoids the sentimental bullshit and makes fun of these sad" moments as well.
As i said, i have enjoyed modern family. But i would not categorize it as comedy. I would rather have it called dramedy. For me comedy is absolutely side splitting laughter till your stomach hurts[DOUBLEPOST=1391426498][/DOUBLEPOST]Another recommendation for people who want to watch something hilarious : Impractical jokers. Its a hidden camera prank show and its the best of its kind currently.
 
Top Gear is back !!! have to watch it tonight..

And that last episode (S05E06) of Community was ohh just the best ,, sub-plots for each character .. New characters settling into the main cast wonderfully.
I wonder what does Chang think of their Head Janitor .. :D

Have to catch up on Banshee & True Detective ..
PoI returning this week again .. its gonna be explosive for sure!!!!!
 
Pretty little liars is at an awesome phase right now. I have never seen a single mystery with so many subplots stretched across multiple seasons ( 4 till now). Granted some episodes seem like filler , but the show as a whole has endearing characters and great twists. The mid season finale of Season 4 was the most tweeted episode in TV history till now. It was such an jaw dropping, holy mother of god revelation.
 
That feeling when it's a certain day of the week and you're looking forward to watching the latest episode of a TV series... and it turns out that they're not airing it this week... not nice :(
No True Detective tonight. Gotta wait another week. Woe is me.[DOUBLEPOST=1391436892][/DOUBLEPOST]Speaking of hilarious shows... I've just discovered and watched the first 3 episodes of 'Rick and Morty'. Very good show! The first ep had me laughing out loud, which not many shows are able to do!
 
Guys whoever has not watched Parks and Rec should definitely give it a chance. Season 1 is sorta okay(I loved it) but Season 2 onwards it the writing is fantastic. Currently on the verge of completing Season 3... very sweet, witty and sometimes hilarious.. the best part? No background laughter soundtrack

Exactly my feeling. S01 is sort of okay and many people may leave the show at this point. But don't do that. Continue and it gets fantastic ahead. One of the best comedies i have seen. Each character is unique.

Just finished watching the remaining 3 episodes of Rick and Morty. This is now definitely up there in my awesome-list. Very clever and funny. Highly recommended!
 
I'm really stuck with "Once Upon a Time" people who like fairy tales they will like it. I like the way the show is structured. It is interesting to see how they weave the fairy tales into this story line. The storyline is always packed with things to keep you guessing more. I'll be anxiously anticipating the next episode. Just finished Season 1.

Also starts watching new show Helix (Science fiction).

Comedy comes in different forms, it doesn't have to be all pies-in-the-face.

Modern Family is more slice of life comedy.
And when it does employ pies-in-the-face, it does so with brutal honesty (20 clowns getting into a tiny clown car anyone?).

That is like my favorite show ever :) Both UK and US versions.
Sometimes you have some long and frustrating days. Watching some random whose line videos on youtube always cheers me up a bit.

OMG, great to see another Oncer here ( Pretty lame, but thats what we fans of Once upon a time call ourselves). This is one of the best shows i have ever watched and there is no other show like it on TV.

Well I like the show and never said "This is one of the best shows i have ever watched and there is no other show like it on TV." I like sci-fi and etc.
