NOOOOOO!

Dumped sherlock for now and will probably start again from S02 later.
Started with The Office US and done with season 1 and 2. Onto season 3 now. This show is good. The way it has been pictured is similar to Parks and Recreation, actors talking to camera and such.

It's called mockumentary style and Parks is like office not the other way round.

I agree with this review a lot (from IMDB) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1266020/reviews?ref_=tt_urv

This show is basically a cute version of The Office. If you haven't seen The Office, it is a hilarious show that is filmed like a documentary. It has a weird vibe because all of the characters seem to know that the cameras are there. They also give asides to the camera which are always funny. The asides in Parks and Recreation are funnier than those from The Office. They seem to be more of a showcase for the actors to show off their comedy, not additions to the plot.

One thing that turns some people off about The Office (that is to say, what sets it apart from other shows), is that it gets incredibly and hilariously awkward. What sets Parks and Recreation apart is that it is incredibly and hilariously cute. Where The Office makes your jaw drop before you burst into laughter, Parks and Recreation gives you a warm smile before you burst into laughter. It makes it a lot of fun to watch.

Another subtle difference from The Office is that aside from Jerry (Parks and Recreation's version of The Office's Toby), is that all of the characters care deeply about one another.

The cast of Parks and Recreation is far better than the admittedly stellar cast of The Office. Amy Poehler lights up the screen every time she is in view. Rashida Jones has much better on screen chemistry with this cast than she ever did during her stint on The Office. This show is incredibly lucky to have Aziz Ansari before he becomes a worldwide phenomenon, because he is well on his way. Don't even get me started on how perfect Nick Offerman plays his role as the motivated slacker, libertarian boss.

In the end the haters will say, "Oh they just stole The Office's idea and put it in City Hall." That is a far to shallow of a response to such a deeply funny show that stands wonderfully on its own.

Oh and I simply love the character of Ron Swanson. His lines and Nick Offerman's deadpan delivery style have me in splits.

Guys Guys...i just meant that both are picturised in similar fashion and i am really loving office. And yes parks and recreation is like office :D

And yes i too love Ron Swonson and his dead pan expressions.

It has been expected for a while that this will be the last season.

And Season 8 is definitely missing Jules and Chief Vick. It needs its whole cast.

They could just have Shawn, Guster and Lassiter & still rock the show. In any case, it's a bitter sweet farewell. I really loved this show.

Good :p
Also, Swanson > Scott

Parks & Rec tried to imitate The Office during its short first season but quickly turned the show around after the less than desirable feedback ..

I'm not sure whether this will be a good idea considering their previous works. Still, might be worth a try. Though I think there is a high probability that they might also ruin it somehow.
Yea the Seth Rogan thing is a wildcard. Still he's writing it alongwith another guy, not like he's gonna act in it or has total creative control considering it's an adapted screenplay.

I say give the project to Robert Rodriguez and Tarantino.
Cast Denny Trejo as the Saint of Killers and blow away everything else on TV.

Not. Enough. Gun.

Anyone checked out The Americans.

Of all the fresh new series I started watching in 2013(Blacklist,Hannibal,Helix,The Returned) this is undoubtedly the best TV series to start off in this year.
