English TV series discussion

Reacher Season 3, Episode 6 is really good. Only wish the combat scenes lasted longer because they gave me...

Rambo movie vibes... the fighting in the forest!

Sonya Cassidy is probably the only thing I don't like in this season. She is just annoying and her acting is awful.

Wheel of time season 03 has premiered on prime.
Hoping it be as good as the first two, let see coz the first episode seemed more lovey dovey types

Reacher S03. How to not like this dude. Although i did like the previous seasons better for whatever reasons. Like the supporting casts were better and more involved in them. Waiting a full week for an episode is so annoying though

The supporting cast this season is very weak. They should have gotten a better actress for the role of Duffy because Sonya Cassidy wasn't a great choice IMO. Her acting and dialogue delivery is awful. The plot this season is good and I'm enjoying it more than the 2nd season. Alan Ritchson has the entire weight of the show on his shoulders currently and is pulling it off well... he has some strong shoulders!

correct loving it so far and I hate waiting for a week for new episodes

they should have brought back serinda swan from s2 she would have been a lot better than sonya cassindy

FBI agent VS the normal cop from Season 1, I have no doubt about your answer
Waiting for the final showdown between Reacher VS Olivier Richters, I guess he will have to use some tricks to take him down the pure power move won't do justice to the fight.

Daredevil Born Again S01 - Feels repeated where in previous seasons Daredevil defeated Finch but he comes back as main villein again also its boring of watching people eating and talking to make them look dangerous/dashing (Arey khana kha lo uske baad baat karlo, jaldi kya hai)
Suits LA - 4/10, If it doesn't pick up next episode I'll leave

Finished See and For All Mankind.
Both are good, but enjoyed See more. Yeah, don't try to see logic in some of the things and you'll enjoy it. Don't want to give spoilers but
I didn't expect to see a certain someone in S2.
But then, I went into this without looking at the cast besides Jason Momoa.

Loved the space exploration part of For All Mankind than some mundane stuff that was happening on the earth.
Both come recommended.

Probably should watch Rogue Heroes and Taboo as well at some point soon.

Severance - Season 2, Episode 8... another slow buildup episode I guess to the season finale next week. Lets see how that turns out...

I'm kind of tired of this show a little because watching the last 3 episodes haven't really been much fun and the intrigue and the interest that I felt while watching Season 1 almost feels like a thing of the past now.

Also, Patricia Arquette's stern expression on-screen gives me the creeps... that woman can turn me into an icicle with her cold, piercing stare!

How is SuperNatural Series on Amazon Prime - 15 seasons ?
Are you sure you want to spend this time on watching a 15 seasons series? In my opinion this series should have ended at season 5 which tied all the ends perfectly but then it almost never happens in Hollywood/US & they keep stretching it. I watched till season 8 then stopped & never got time to continue but at that time I didn't expect they will stretch it to 15 seasons.

Just started this one and its looking promising

Got through the first two seasons and found it really good. This is exactly the kind of info I wish was available growing up and even more so when in college. But is it available? Even now?

The refer to Sex ed as SRE so Sex & relationships education. The R part is 10x more complicated and creates the most grief without access to the right people or information. Friends & family don't quite cut it here compared to people more familiar with the subject. In fact friends are the worst as no one wants to be your therapist. And how do you bring it up with your family in the first place

^This is typically the problem I have with this subject as a whole. Literally no progress since the last twenty years.

The stuff they are embarassed to talk about isn't even 10% of the relationships thing. But it is what people think makes up All of sex ed.

How do you get into relationships
How do you manage them
How do you deal with breakups, betrayals etc.

THAT is 90% part I'm referring to. Lots of these topics are already covered by youtubers since the last few years.

Completed Adolescence - Completely blown away, STRICTLY for MATURE viewers.

I'm a big admirer of British Drama, At first Episode I thought it was another Crime Genre but No, it turned out something else and I never experienced anything like this before, What a presentation - Camera Work / Cinematography everything. Learned some new words. There are different meanings of the same emojis just if you change colour !!! (WTF)

Anyhow after the completion of the Series, it feels very very Sad.....but still highly recommended.

P.S: - Must watch for all new parents.

On the other hand, Dope Thief Looks Interesting So Far.

Seen this as well but I would have preferred a deeper examination of the issue. It's only hinted at and assumes the viewer is already acquainted with the subject which in itself is controversial.

This is a story of a teenager who was radicalised by the so called 'red pill' brigade to the point he murders a girl in his school. Because she rejected his advances in a rude manner.

In my previous post I spoke about the lack of guidance to young people about relationships. Well, the 'red pill' movement seeks to address just that but the advice they give isn't always suitable and needs adult supervision. Hell, I'd say even as an adult care is needed.

Concepts like 80-20 rule. Means 80% of the women chase 20% of the men. The good looking guys. Meaning the remaining 80% of guys get little to no action and will become 'incels' short for involuntarily celibate. Unless they wise up and become more street smart.

Andrew Tate gets a mention here as a leading voice in the red pill movement. He's controversial in his views and is labeled by the liberal media as a misogynist.

Well, if young boys are being exposed to stuff like this without parental guidance they could take matters into their own hands with catastrophic results. Since parents can no longer control what their kids see on their phones.

I'd imagine this becoming an issue when we start seeing Indian influencers pushing these ideas in local languages.

If they aren't already.... I don't know. You tell me if an Indian equivalent exists. Otherwise most of these videos are on Tiktok which we don't get and YT doesn't allow this content to the same extent.

It's a true story but the real perpetrator was black. Netflix decided to cast him as a white person for the usual race relations reasons.

PS
Interesting aside about coloured heart emojis as explained by an embarrassed kid to his not so social media clued up cop dad

Red heart - love
Purple heart - horny
Yellow heart - interested
Pink heart - interested but not for sex
Orange heart - you're going to be fine

The other part of the story is the messaging going on on insta between various characters and the responses which the adult cops don't understand because of the emoji codes and their meanings. Where cyber bullying happens and who is instigating and who is the victim
