Wait what? So as per you it is Ok to fool innocent people (the guy didn't ask for this, he could have even said no if the girl would let him know what was going on. men are not sadistic assholes who will marry a girl even if they comes to know all this.) if someone can't stand for themselves.
 
@sharktale1212 I never said it's OK if he was conned. But I've seen many forced "fixed" marriages, in the name of "upholding the traditions, customs and respect of the family and community." In most of these cases, the girl is more powerless than the boy, just like she is when her to-be parents decide to abort her after gender determination.

All views are respected, nothing personal. Its important to give females some power to bring them back to a level playing field but what I am more concerned about is that innocent males are conned by misuse of these laws. There is no question that people acting with malafide intentions should be taken to task but others! Last week, my friends better half just broke the marriage after staying 10 days with him and now wants her property share, all that she gave and also put false bully charges against the entire family. Hes a poor guy, dint ever understand what is happening and was talking about suicide! God help him.
 
@uziel Isn't there a separate provision for such quick divorces? I don't know the workings of the law much, but if the the bride is asking for divorce so early, then surely the judge can look into the matter and decide appropriately. Getting a good lawyer should be the top priority.

Nope, there are mandatory wait/ cure periods of a year - to try and see if counselling and reconciliation are possible.

Is it possible that, we can make girl sign a legal agreement before marriage that, in case of divorce which is called by her, she won't be asking any share of the property :p

and then can save our future :D

My caste allows 2 marriage at a time, many will be trolled if both of their wife give anyone divorce at the same time 50+50 goes to both wives and he will be left with 0% lolzzz :D
 
if you marry 2 at same time , then how much stupid can you get

i mean you should have learnt your lesson one time :P

Don't worry, if your caste allows that, then it will also protect you if you just murder them in cold blood; just tell that you did it out of "honour". Or just throw acid at them and make them disabled for life. You can get rid of them and still stay with 100% property.

I've seen males living with 2 wives amicably! You don't know how smart is our Being.smart ... the competition between wives will be beneficial for him. :D

Don't worry, keeping the SC's view in mind (regarding 50% share and living-in relationships) pre-nups will soon become common in India too.

I really doesn't mean to offend you bro, my caste is damm backward, it comes under aadivasi group, just telling the worst tradition which is being followed here :(

But some good tradition is also followed like, till date i hadn't seen any forced dowry case, forgot about the acid attack or murder, or even a single divorce case :O, and i must say that our caste is female dominant :p

Yep, after searching hard, i managed for find a professor of college, although he is 4 yr older than her, she found him quiet nice :p, she's still teaching in high-school after marriage , and happy after marriage:p. The best thing is that he is not addicted to anything, neither alcohol or ciggy or anything like that :X:X

One thing is for sure, i don't know, why his husband fears of me as told by my sis :p, he talks with every member in my family, but always avoids me :p

The search for 2nd guy continues :(, after that i will be free to leave my home town yeah yeah :D :D

Just done with my Btech, and now taken admission in Mtech :D

I am the only Big.B in my house, so have to look out for all these family matters , damm :(
 
I also feel reverse should be true, if male takes as house husband, female do the job/earning and she has some property and initiates a divorce, can male get 50% share and some alimony/maintenance?? Is society changing!! Can we think like this. Law should look equally into this.
