Anyone wants to add the schedule to his Google Calendar, follow this: http://www.androidcentral.com/add-world-cup-2014-schedule-google-calendar

First, you'll have to head to the web version of Google Calendar — at calendar.google.com — to manually add the calendar (preferably on a desktop, but if you're brave you can do it on your phone). At the moment this can't be done in the Google Calendar app, sadly.

Once on the website and logged in, look in the left sidebar for an "other calendars" area with an arrow next to it. Click that arrow on the right side and click "Add by URL." This is how you can add complete calendars that have been created and managed by other people.

In the window that pops up, enter the following link into the bar:

https://www.google.com/calendar/fee...a4ni4k@group.calendar.google.com/public/basic

... and hit "Add Calendar." The best part about this is that the dates and times will change according to your time zone, and if any games are changed or updated you'll see the changes reflected on your calendar automatically. You can assign a custom color to the calendar from that same left bar by clicking the arrow next to the calendar, as well as set up alerts for certain events, if you wish.

Give it a couple of minutes, and the calendar will be synced to your other devices that are set up with Google Calendar as well. To double check if your phone is syncing it, be sure to go to your calendar app of choice, and manually check for additional calendars to sync.

Supporting Germany, really disappointed by injury to Reus. He was IMHO Germany's best player though they have cover for his position in Podolski and Schurrle .
Everyone is touting Brazil to win the world cup, I just don't see it happening though- Argentina look to be the strongest outfit especially after Di Maria's amazing season.

I have also been writing about football and the world cup. Is it okay to share links here ?

I thought it would be useful while at work (I have HD DTH at home) but I realised the match timings are simply too late.
Plus streaming eats up a lot of bandwidth.

What do you mean by timings are late? Will they stream the content like 15 mins later than the actual aired content?

I meant, the matches are 9pm onwards, so that time I would generally be at home so prefer to watch it on TV. And no conflicts with saas-bahu serials either so I will actually have the TV to myself.

That said, Rs. 120 is not a bad deal either provided their streaming is good quality.

Time to setup my (wireless) headphones with the TV.

I also did not take the pass as I would be at home at those times but a great deal.

Hoping this continues in the future where online passes are cheap and internet speeds are good :p
 
Yeah, Di Maria was spectacular, the energy he had during the CL final, unfortunately Bale got credit for the goal.
Messi has to win the WC to be remembered as one of the greatest. 1986 matches of Maradona are etched in my mind. Messi needs to prove that he can fire in an Argentine shirt too!

Would prefer Argentina, Spain, Brazil in the semis.

Funny thing - last WC's final is this years first-round match
 
South american teams will do much better.
European teams are going to struggle because of the weather & altitude.
Hopefully the veterans will prove their experience and some new stars to shine from this world cup.

On top of that, the ios app is showing no content live at the moment . Damn Mad @$@#$@#$$%^&%^&@!#$!#!@
 
While Messi is South American, he spent more time playing in Europe than in Argentina. Interesting to see if he can cope with the weather in Brazil.

This so much. We should spam their facebook page, and also that of SonySix.

It was pathetic. Streaming was fine until 1am, but as soon as the match started the app refused to stream.
