I never thought I would get so many replies in just a few minutes.
Would have been better if I did a "Draw" kinda thing.
Anyway, that's for next time.;).

I have been inactive on the forum this month and had logged in for a very specific query. Had no intentions of even visiting the marketplace. Was about to log out when this thread's notification popped up. :D

Actually a rat ate my mouse and a few keys in my KB are being double pressed/stuck at times. Was planning to get a pair so a nice coincidence I guess.

Would have been better if I did a "Draw" kinda thing.
imo, in cases of DM floods, it'd be better to ask the interested ones why exactly they need it. Somebody who actually needs the specific item(s) should get it rather than those who attempt claiming it just cuz it's up for the grabs. People can still lie but idk on a reputed forum like this I'd expect people not to. Just my opinion.

Had dropped you a pm at 2:23pm about the canera.. Thought of giving a late heads up
Thanks for the gesture
Do reply if you can

Hey, I checked it, but @gamingstill contacted before you. You came second to him.
Anyway, let's see how's his "Complaint" pans out.
Giveaway of Tapo C100 to @gamingstill is on hold until he solves the complaint with the mod @Crazy_Eddy .

It's been 2days.
After thoroughly looking into that complaint, In my opinion, @gamingstill did nothing wrong.
He sold a damaged phone for 700. The buyer knew that phone was damaged and bought it.

BUT both of them didn't know that there was also water damage in the phone. When buyer found that in the service center, he complained it with @gamingstill to which he agreed to PROVIDE REFUND ( claimed by @gamingstill ) but buyer refused and further complained with the mod.

So, it's a case of misunderstanding.

@gamingstill has been on this forum a very long time and has a lot of positive feedbacks along with one neutral feedback.

I tried talking with @Crazy_Eddy but he seems busy and still waiting for his reply.

The buyer also hasn't replied since then.

I talked with @gamingstill and he seems to have a good reason for the camera.

Also, next time , I would rather go with ( legit draw+Reason+Active Members ) giveaway than first come basis.

He clearly said that he doesn't want my money. I ended the conversation on the positive note with the following msg -
Both of us were assuming different things and that's what led to the confusion. But still, he did complain in the end.
Thanks a lot @The_GarlicBread for being supportive.
I planned a giveaway just after I won but I guess I'll do it later.

Not able to find the thread in question. But from what I understood, you sold an item which was acknowledged to be defective beforehand. What kind of entitlement is this seriously? I find it weird that you've to defend yourself in this situation.

As a seller, if you are offering the refund for something "assumed", and then receiving this kind of behaviour, that's an insult. "He doesn't want my money" - Then he should stop complaining like an immature kid and making mountain of a molehill.

If he doesn't want your money, he should send the thing back to you since you are the one insisting to refund him. I don't understand why this is a matter of debate even.

@mods If I am not wrong in my assumptions of the events that have transpired, you can ask the buyer to send the item back to the seller @gamingstill. He is more than ready to refund as clearly evident. There was never any entitlement on the seller's part and this is just a pointless dispute. If the buyer still insists to drag it on, just ignore. @gamingstill doesn't deserve to face any backlash over this at all. I fear he doesn't even want that thing back after all this.

I clearly told him the phone is dead, not booting at all. I suppose the buyer was just frustrated as he was not able to use the dead phone.
I don't want to comment on the buyer but I'm really shocked by mods response.
I can still refund him the full amount if he so desire and keep the phone with himself. I just don't want to drag this topic.

@gamingstill Being empathetic, considerate and humane are all commendable human characteristics which in this context have all been exhibited by you. But don't be a doormat that people can just walk over. You owe nothing to the buyer so stop defending yourself.
I don't want to comment on the buyer
You should. I mean at this point, you should stop commenting on this issue and/or trying to defend yourself but if you were to say anything, you should say precisely this: "I owe you nothing beyond transparency and the item in question. Heck, I am ready to refund and let you keep the thing. As a matter of fact, I don't owe you any refund without return but I am doing that nonetheless. Thus your complaint does not stand."
I'm really shocked by mods response.
I feel as if they were not aware of the fact that you were willing to refund. I am sure @Crazy_Eddy considers this dispute done and dusted and clears @gamingstill of all the "supposed" reparations.
I can still refund him the full amount if he so desire and keep the phone with himself.
I stand correct in my suspicion then. You've lost interest in the brick altogether.

I like how a techenclave giveaway thread when the item isn't someone's junk turns toxic. I'm guilty of adding to it too :P but I do find it hilarious as to both members being geralt profile pictures

I've already sent the PM to the buyer. :disappointed:

@rootyme Realist vs @gamingstill Idealist ;) , Oh ! the everlasting battle:angelic:.

Anyway, I have waited long enough.
TP Link Camera is taken by @gamingstill . Please contact Delhivery to pickup the item soon.

Really Sry to others who contacted me. I suppose this First come basis isn't kind of fair but this was my first giveaway. Will change next time.

Well, as he said, Truble seems to find Gwynbleidd.;).

Then ghost him. You offered him refund, he denied it. That's where the debate ends.

There is a difference tho. Nobody is accusing the OP here. Rather, the controversy was regarding some other pending dispute. I don't think this thread has any elements of toxicism.

What are you apologizing for and why? All that matters is two guys who actually needed the items got it. The 'how' is irrelevant. First come first serve and random draws have practically zero difference in terms of probability.

Again, some draw is not gonna ensure that the item ends up with one who needs it. Your giveaway has been a success and there is no need to feel sorry about it.
