Getting write speeds of 60MB/s in all the benches now in CDM and the read speeds have improved by 5MB/s across all of them. Something's definitely wrong. How could the write speeds decrease from 90s MB/s to 60s MB/s all of a sudden! Damn this is going to require a lot of tweaks and optmisations and reinstalls. :(

@techhead - tried installing AS SSD but some weird error keeps popping up all the time. I tried another link. Will try another one and post back.
 
Bah just found out the culprit - as Sidhu mentioned it is the stupid onboard controller. :@

The ICH7R does not support AHCI support. :(

The ICH10R remains the current performance SB chipset here. The ICH7 remains at the bottom of the list.

I think I'll have to jump to the Nehalem platform sooner than I thought. :ashamed: :P
