hey guys if i get a 6790 can i play BF3 with all the eye candy on 1440X900

i have a

e6600 2.4 ghz with 2ggis of corsair xms 2 ram

You will have to tone down settings a bit, but still you will experience smooth gameplay with eyecandy :) 6790 is a good gaming card, but your processor is running at 2.4ghz and will hinder the frame rates IMO...

so if i get that card will it be good for another 4 years cause i bought my 8800gt in 2007 and for 4 years i completed a lot of games on it so?

OT:shit i just realised that i crossed my 2000th post damn

I cant be sure of 4 years, but would be enough for 2 to 3 years considering the rate at which the games are developing. You will be able to play games for 5 years from now but settings would gradually go on decreasing. Go for a 6850 then for +1K or 6870 for +2K.

If you dont want to spend more then get 6790, its a decent card..here are some pics for you

What is your budget?

10K

CPU:- Intel Core i5 2500k

MOTHERBOARD:- Intel DH67BL-B3

RAM:- Corsair Vengeance 4GB DDR3

MONITOR:- LG CRT. 22". I will be upgrading it after few months. Till then can I play FIFA and PES?

Which PSU/SMPS will you be using? Corsair vx450(open to suggestions but the price sholud be reasonable)

SeaSonic S12II 520 Bronze 520W

Primary use?

Mostly to play FIFA, PES, NFS and F1

What resolution do you game on?

-

Interested in Crossfire/SLI?

No.

Open to both Nvidia/ATI?

Yes

6870 at 11K is the best you can get increasing budget by 1K... or a 6950 1gb at 13K if you can extend your budget a bit more... Suggesting this two, so that you can max out or atleast with 90% eyecandy get playable frames rates on any title at full HD... If you stick to 10K, then MSI 6850 cyclone PE/OC at 9.6K is enough

Beware of the price hike 6870 might not be available for 11k at this point it will be like 12k and 6950 1gb-14.2k or something like that, better wait a little before getting the gpu.

I need to buy a Graphic card soon. I am thinking among the following:

GTX 560 Ti 1GB vanilla/amp/oc

GTX 560 ti 2GB Vanilla

I will be gaming at 1080p and lower, mainly BF3. Will 2GB offer any advantage over 1GB versions of this card? My budget is around 14K. The rest of the specs are in the signature. I will probably get the Seasonic PSU, 500/620W along with the GPU.

BTW, only Zotac is currently available in the market. The vanilla 560Ti comes with AC:Brotherhood game and is for 13,650. The 2GB version is for 14,800. I can extend my budget to get a 2 GB one too but I would like to save where I can and wouldn't like to spend where advantage is minimal.
