I had one and a half haleem:ashamed: yesterday night at shah ghouse, tolichowki. it was awesome. for those still un aware; month of ramzan already started. who want to order online can go to Welcome to Pista House .: Home :. :clapping:
 
I've had it a couple of times when I had been to Hyderabad during the Ramzan days but that was long back, 2010 I suppose. It was heavenly, to say the least! An absolute non-veggie's delight.

Hyderabad's haleem is the best I have ever had. These guys don't deliver to NCR. Too bad. Has anyone tried Gati's service?

Damn, Gati seems to be using these very guys and Gati doesn't deliver to NCR. Screw them.

Biriyani probably wouldnt survive the trip it will get all caked up .. best to come over n have it fresh.

I tried Haleem last year .. couldnt get through more than 4 spoons .. It was too damn heavy .. (but tasty)
 
I think there are two varieties of Haleem in non veg category - Sweet and Salty.
Which one is more preferred ? And either variety is calorie rich on equal terms (while not counting calories of sweetner used in the sweet variant) ?

Haleem is spicy. Atleast all the times I had at various places, it was spicy. Never came across a sweet one.
 
i tried gati 3 years back when i wasnot in hyderabad ,wonderful service , now i am here ! ...heaven!

I used the Gati service one when i was in chennai some 3 years ago.. was decent!

Yeah. Heard from a Friend about Tolichowki Outlet. Pista house Haleem isn't Tasting Good these Days..

I love two places in Hyderabad where i eat Haleem:
1. 555cafe Masab tank
2. Sarvi Banjara hills.
 
Yeah I tried Haleem many times at one of my friends house at their festivals like Roja / Eid / Ramzan etc :)

It Awesome :)

I still remember, Aunty used to cook great :)
 
I had haleem at two places today. Both places are on the same road.

1. Mairaj Restaurant

Cost : Rs.120 per bowl.
The haleem was of decent quality. Later on, the panwala outside this hotel told us that the owner of this hotel has hired a special 'karigar' (chef) at 35k per month for preparing haleem alone for the month of Ramzan. Well I was still hungry and so was the friend with me. So we decided to try the place across the road.


2. Dakhani Degh
Cost : Rs.100 per bowl.

It is a small place with a few tables. The Haleem was not so great here. But we did like the sweet dish called 'Double Ka Meetha'.

Personally I dont like mutton haleem and always end up having chicken Haleem at Sarvi.
Pista House is always out of Haleem by 7.30pm - as in 1-1.5hrs within office timings. Quite famous. Its good.
Paradise Haleem is just hyped and doesnt taste that good.

I've been having Haleem since i was 13 or 14 i guess. Yeah couple of Restaurants named as Zeeshan and Arsalan prepare for the month of Ramzan. Just had it on the first day of Ramzan couple of days back :P Hell nothing beats Rumali Roti and Mutton Haleem :D Anyone in kolkata who has not tried can go to arsalan or zeeshan and try it. Zeeshan prepares just Mutton while Arsalan prepares Mutton and Chicken!
