I dnt think so mate. Coz on my PC, even while running Windows Media Center, there is very minimal CPU usage. :ohyeah:
These cards are made to offload the CPU, not put load...:bleh:
And that might be due to DXVA coming into the picture for GPU-based MPEG2 decoding in the background. But the fact remains that non-MCE tuners send raw audio/video to the TV viewer software while MCE-compatible tuners mandatorily have to send audio/video to MCE in MPEG2 format, which then needs to be decoded by the CPU (unlike in the non-MCE version).

Anyways, I don't wanna crap LD's thread :)

Thats not true, card is damn good.

Well, the flip side of a MCE-compatible TV Tuner (like the PVR150) is that the tuner must send the video in compressed format, so viewing itself will require CPU for decompression.

Well, just a note of precaution:

Whoever thinking of running it on 4GB RAM and 64 bit OS, can forget this. It won't work whatever u do. :P

Apart from that this card is awesome.
U can play a game with recording going on in the background... :ohyeah:

I am using it on 64bit OS, but limiting the memory to 3.25GB and then only it works. The card is a steal.

I m using this Card with 64bit Win7 and 4gb G-Skill ram.

working absolutely fine..

@skumar9988
Man, if it is working, u are damn lucky. Check PM. I have got to make mine working then...:P

@Lord Dagon,
Doesn't the kit include FM cable? :huh:

It never worked on vista 64bit but now i have formated my system several times with win7 64bit. and every time it worked fine. never had any problem with that except one or two times it started giving slugish pics but after restart it worked fine..

Can give you snapshots if you need...
oh just took a snap to days before...have it with me see below..

FM cable is not included :)
