HP Touchpad for 100$ @ US online stores

I shipped it to a friend in CA, while I was told, they do not have stock, at least person on slickdeal reported this: "CHECK THE STATUS OF YOUR BB ORDER. IF THE STATUS READS "being fulfilled" and "ships in 0 - 1 days" I called BB this morning in hopes of cancelling my order but they said it was too late as the orders are BEING SHIPPED TODAY." -kex1maze"

@Vidit: You mean you spoke to BestBuy?
 
Yes I spoke with a BB rep...

They told me they are out of stock and are cancelling orders..

They will try to acknowledge as many orders as they can and the others would be cancelled..

bad news, have another order on B&N, was placed around the same time as kuduku, fingers crossed, have asked friend who ordered to call up B&N.

Edit: Someone on slickdeals just got a "ready to ship" that too for a backordered email order! Crazy stuff, are they getting to know we are calling from India and telling us you won't get it :P
 
Just spoke to the CC of hp smb... They greeted me with the message "We are sold out of touchpads"

Asked them that I had already ordered and did not receive any confirmation and he said that they are in the process of confirming orders and will take anything between 48 to 72 hours (thats like 4 days) and requested to wait till that time...

Just an update for those who have ordered from hp smb...
 
I have ordered 4, haven't received cancellations on any of them so far.

1x via best buy link posted in this thread to SnS address for me

1x via amazon OnSale, SnS for friend

2x via B&N to bundlebox address to be shipped to UK (where i am at currently) for mum,sister

if any get cancelled i'll buy when prices drop here in UK and maybe afew more for... (neighbours maybe ? :P)
 
Just an update to all folks who are ordering spoke to a friend who works for Bestbuy he checked in the internal database and said there are 2000 touchpads in the warehouse which will be released today.
