To make Tata Docomo work

1. Send message "ACT 3G" to 53333
2. to get free browsing for 7 days send message "FLY" to 53333. You will get 250 MB traffic free for 7 days.
3. APN settings is "Tata.docomo.internet"

Have not received mine yet. order #311. Its stuck with DTDC. The online status is not changing much since thursday. Called up DTDC to followup and they said it may be delayed coz it will first go to mumbai and then come to Pune. :(
DTDC guys were asking me whats in that parcel... and also said that if I need to pay octroi it can be further delayed by a couple of days.
Guys please let me know... Do I need to pay octroi for this in Pune. I ordered some cables along with the modem... the total went upto Rs2835/-.. Need I pay octroi for this? If yes then How much in pune?

I didn't pay any octroi when I got mine last week. Mine too came by DTDC but I didn't got any calls about what was in the box.

But last time when I bought something from ebay, I had to pay octroi. I don't know when octroi is applicable and when it is not :(

huawei e1750 or e1752 or e170

^^ E1750, E1752 and E176 are known to NOT work with BSNL West Zone. E170 might also not work (I'm making an assumption here, based on the model number.. E17xx). Better to settle for E122 or UMG181.

I got my shipment #311 yesterday. thanks. the modem is working fine. though not happy with the packaging of other contents n very delayed shipping by dtdc.

I am using UMG 1831 on win7 32 bit, have not faced any issues and its working fine. Have to test it out on a win 64 machine.

Just for the info of everyone...had a talk with dvdstoredelhi.....Huawei UMG 1831 (21.6 Mbps download /5.76 Mbps upload) in limited stock arnd 15-20 nos or so will be in his stock tmr or so. Expected price of around Rs 2800 or below shipped. He will put up them in his website as well as on ebay by evening :D...I have booked mine already on phone :D
