@sandy sorry for the typo it was an obvious mistake because of wrong correlation. :p

I am not after best / fastest only thing is that in case of network upgradation it will not needed to be dumped :p, the ones being provided by BSNL is not spotted on forums which I visit so better to be with the mass, so if the support is needed I am sure I can depend upon TE to provide solutions :p

I didnt get any email notification for #364, paid on Monday, got dispatched on Tue, should be delivered today! Called yesterday & was given the tracking number.

Can anyone provide dvdstoredelhi's contact number? When I tried to call the number provided on his site, no one is picking up the call but suddenly the line is saying busy. May be he's attending only from known numbers. I paid on Saturday and still no sign of any status updates. :( The order info in his site says pending. Don't know what to do..:(

Ya, I did emailed him after the payment, with its screen-shot, pm'ed him here and he asked for the order number which I gave but didn't got any replies thereafter. I'm not questioning his reliability. I'm just asking how to contact him. Being an human being, sometimes getting frustrated:(

Got my modem today, after paying on Tuesday and receiving the tracking number email tonight AFTER the item was delivered! Getting hands on a BSNL sim next week, so will try it out then!

The first entry is using my UMG181 modem. After I switched the modem, it keeps getting disconnected every 1-2 minutes! :(

Varkey, do you still have the old modem with you ? can you try it now just to be sure about the modem creating problems.

^ It was working perfectly with my old modem, and the moment I switched to the new one, it kept disconnecting every 1-2 minutes. So now I connected my old modem and everything is back to normal, and working great.

So seems the modem I got is faulty. :( :(

I just plugged in my UMG 1831...working fine for 30 min no disconnections.

@ varkey--- Flash to the latest firmware available at dc-files.com and report back. Also re-mount/install the thing on your dockstar.....may be you can give a try on PC also...mostly the driver for the UMG 1831 for Debian is the culprit

@ All UMG 1831 users--- Update to this firmware UMG1831Update_11.831.05.01.420.B427.zip use the latest dashboard which has the latest Huawei Windows drivers :)

^ Just updated to the latest firmware. Checking now, hope it fixes the issue. :)

The issue is there in Windows as well, so don't think it's a configration error.
 
He has mentioned in the other thread that it has the same problem in Windows. Probably a f/w issue or a faulty unit
