31-40k I am in Dilemma! Should I upgrade my Present PC to AMD AM4 or AM5 or Intel LGA 1700 chipsets? Budget is limited to 40k

I gave model no of what i am using. If router is not in same room, go for one with antennas.
I have never had any issue with tp link wifi devices, so i have always bought them. 3+ since 10 years or so and all are working still.
So i haven't bought any new ones yet.

That one is less than 1k i think. Probably closer to 500.

Better options, that i would probably buy today. But i have not seen everything and these dont have bluetooth, Go as per budget and internet speed.

If router is nearby, then you can go with the tiny ones too, they take very little space and dont stick out from usb port.
I use a usb extension cable and just keep it out of view behind monitor.
I am thinking of this:
https://amzn.in/d/fM1dMCE @ 2.5k if I go with B650M DS3H.
But Gigabyte B650M DS3H (4ram slots) at 10k isn't available anywhere as it's out of stock. In Amazon it's 16.5k

Since B650M DS3H and B650M Gaming X AX are same boards except for wifi/bt I think either everybody bought the normal board or all vendors/Gigabyte themselves have removed the former board while selling B650M Gaming Wifi board (2ram slots) at 10k and B650M Gaming X AX (4ram slots) at 15k
Now for me no option but to go with Gaming X AX only.

Lots of new boards, i havent check anything since i bought. Go for what looks good for your usecase.
That wifi adapter will need free pcie slot and gpus can often block them perhaps, esp for m motherboads.
I am not sure i have never used a pcie upgrade.

But I want wifi/bt Mobo. Yes, Gigabyte B650M-DS3H is 9.4k also has 6+2+1 Digital VRM Design with 60A Smart Power Stage.
So I was thinking about Gigabyte B650M Gaming X AX is 14.8k also has 6+2+1 Digital VRM Design with 60A Smart Power Stage.
Both boards are same as regards to power stages & VRM design but is priced some 5k more than one another. Only MSI comes close to Gigabyte in terms of performance but MSI does not have any board as similarly priced like Gigabyte non wifi/bt board. MSI is giving only 2 Ram slots for anything under 10k.
B650M Gaming X AX has inferior VRMs to B650 Gaming X AX. Buy mobo with built in WiFi, these are much better than 3rd party options we get.

For upto 125W real power draw, MSI B650M Gaming WiFi is enough. I got that for my friend's build with R5 7600X. I did run the 7600X in stock settings for 10+ mins, don't remember the VRM temps but it didn't get close to 90C, so totally fine. Power draw was 135W or so without limits. I configured his CPU to run at 105W ECO mode, which draws upto 125W power or so but in games, its usually under 90W (paired with 7900GRE). You get that MSI mobo for 10k to save money or go all in on B650 Gaming X AX for 16-17k for better VRMs & 3rd M.2 slot (4 slots ain't that useful nowadays for gaming, if you already have 2x 16GB RAM sticks).

This is 13k if you are into saving the 3-4k vs B650 Gaming X AX & want something of a middle ground.

Check this VRM test below, but do note that 7950X draws 200W+ easily:

Yes, What you said is right.
But based on this review of B650 mobos
B650M DS3H & B650M Gaming X AX are the same boards with exactly same power stages but later one has wifi that's all. Both boards have USB C connector if cabinet has USB C port.

But Asrock B650M PG Lightning Wifi does not have USB C connector for the cabinet but B650 PG Lightning has the USB C connector and both boards are same regarding power stages while only difference between them are one is mATX & other is ATX.

So I think I will go with this config:

ok what he linked is 'B650m gaming' and what you are looking at is 'B650m Gaming X AX'.
What an awful naming scheme. Absolutely horrendous. There is a shitty D3HP too. All designed to confuse people into buying shittier versions.

B650m Gaming X AX, looks similar to ds3h, which is good enough for 7600/7800x3d. Mine with 7800x3d runs in 50s with 30C ambient. So just cruising.
For these kinds of chips, it should be fine.

Gigabyte motherboards also make it easy to remove heavy gpus. I don't have to reach around under the card to release it. Thats nice too.
For VRM - look at the best you can get for the price once all features you need are satisfied.

He is not talking about Gigabyte B650M Gaming Wifi but MSI B650M Gaming WiFi where both comes for 10k and both has only 2 RAM slots.

Is there a way to use the cabinets USB C connector to use on Asrock B650M PG Lightning Wifi which does not have on board USB C port? Can I use USB 2.0 port for this but is there a convertor to convert type c to USB 2 connector?

Go for MSI one if you like it. @PunkX 75 has it i think. But the names are so similar, not 100% sure.
From the chart MSI B650m gaming wifi has worse VRM vs ds3h and so also B650m Gaming X AX.

For low power cpus, it might not matter. But if price is similar, ill go for B650m Gaming X AX.
Full atx B650 Gaming X AX has better vrms, but only need it for higher power cpus.

USB C - Just buy board that has USB C onboard instead of these workarounds.
Don't go chasing VRMs and compromising on other things you need.
Just get what is good enough + some buffer so you can upgrade in future. For gaming we only need 7800x3d or 9800x3d / future x3d upgrade path.
Wont need the 12 / 16 core chips.
Ofc if price is same/similar and you have everything you need, then get the better one.

Okay Thanks.

I have not gone through the whole comments so forgive if this has already been suggested.. but isnt it already well known that this board can easily handle upto a 7950x due to its decent vrms.

yeah, also need to match needed features. And pricing keeps changing too and many new boards have been released since. Hard to keep up.

At launch, this was the cheapest good enough board. And maybe it ( or Pro RS one) also had pcie 5 which gigabyte entry level ones lack.
Doesn't really matter much as most of us don't need pcie5 for now.

Asrock ones were my first choice then, but they were not selling in India.
Anyway, all these should be fine. Gigabyte had one of the better bioses at launch. Now all hopefully are good.

I currently use an X870 Aorus Elite.

Completely agree with all the BS naming schemes.

No, I am living without using the Type C port at front of my cabinet. Back then I had to spend 8k extra on a different mobo to get that + better VRMs, which felt like a poor deal to me.
