The deal which I had earlier did not go through. So I am back to square one, with a 997DF, BackUPS 1000, and a Super Lan Boy. Neways, I have a chance to revice my Componenets so I need help.

I will be using this comp for atleast 1 1/2 years without upgrade.

CPU: Athlon Venice 3000 (plan to OC with dividers)
MB: DFI NF4 SLI-DR
PSU: Antec TP-II ATX2.03 550W
GFX: BFG 7800GTXOC 256 DDR3

Can you guys suggest any alternatives to the parts which would improve the persormance without taking the price beyong and above (+10k max allowed.)

I plan to order from Shentech as they HV very nice shipping prices. And they seem to accept Indian Credit cards. I wanted to get a "ASUS Star Ice" cooler too.

Please give all suggestions.

Guess, I will be chaning my SIG somewhat.

You are getting everything from abroad through that site? Or you are planning to get anything from here?

And whats the budget? you said not more than +10K but +10K over what?

Need the budget. And to be honest try to get SD3700+ atleast to go with 7800GTX.

And have you purchased 997DF? Otherwise there are better monitors from Viewsonic.
 
Better wait sometime and get a video card with 512MB RAM, it seems it would be very much required in future games, by looking at benchmarks of new games like cod2, fear, etc
 
1) Ok budget is ~ 35K. So max is 45K. Ultra extreme max = 50K.

2) I have purchased the 997DF. I like the monitor. Or atleast I have started liking it.

3) Is the "ASUS A8N SLI DELUX" mobo a good replacement for the DFI SLI-DR NF4? Becuase thats the only thing Shentech does not stock. I mean flexibility to overclock. Stability at higher HTT (300 Mhz+) etc. Also, what is the Vdimm max ? And Vcore max? And HTT max ? I think it supports dividers upto DDR-600.

4) I am planning on getting a Venice 3800..... cause what I have seen, the 512 KB cache is not making much difference. I will overclock it ofcourse. Masky I am thinking of getting the cooler from u.

cant afford a 700 $ card mate......... and if i wait for it, the 7800gtx will be obsolete by then.........
 
Dont get the star ice... You have Cooler master Hyper 6+ available here now for just above 3K which is an excellent cooler... Venice 3000+ is fine for 7800GTX if you are overclocking... Also if you can just wait for 15 days then prices of 7800GTX will come down for sure with the X1800 launch... Also DFI crossfir is another thing to look out for... What i am suggesting you is to wait for further 15 days and let the new parts come out...

Waise bhi all the new games are coming out in middle of october re so no need to hurry up...

if you don't have problem's going the ATi way, x1800XL 512MB would launching very soon for $499, would be worth the wait :)

Omg....... the "WAIT" word scared me......... after all I will have to take the plunge some time or the other right? Plus, 16 pipelines compared to 24. 1600x1200 at 60 Hz ? Plus its a XL with 512 MB not a XT with 512 MB.

Please help..................................................

How to arrange a DFI SLI-DR ? And is the ASUS A8N SLI DELUX a good replacement?
 
btw, how do u plan on getting this? if its international shipping, be ready to shell out lots of $$ for customs :P
 
Oh yea, Customs suck :D. I Walked past customs with all my parts you see in my sig. Except the Case :E.

If you go for a Venice, go for a 3000+. Otherwise, go at least for a 3700 SD.

And the BFG 7800 GTX is ok. No use in waiting waiting waiting for better deals. And there is no guarantee that the prices will fall after the launch of the R5xx.

And what abt RAM?? If you are buying the DFI , go for Funky's OCZ Gold VX for 7.5K. OR if you are particular abt 2 GB, then think abt getting that also from abroad.

I think the OCZ Gold VX will do decently on the A8N-SLI too. I think it has pretty high Vdimm settings.
