I got either very lucky or LG's service is very good.
The light in the caps lock key was not working in my Gram ( it was bought in India in 2019 and it possibly came with 3 year warranty)
I didn't even plan to give it for service, but was in a LG showroom to buy a phone, just asked them if they have any service center nearby ( as I was carrying the laptop)
They took it from me, just checked the serial and fixed the small issue in less than an hour time ( some gunk and dust accumulated under the keypad and some minor thing was shorted..I didn't really understand as those guys didn't speak much English/ Czech)
Since our hotel is very close to the mall, somebody dropped it @ the reception!!
I was worried about LG's service, but they seemed very serious with their Grams ( the mobile shop sales person was very excited to see a foreigner carrying a Gram and was very quick to help)

And this laptop is really good for upto moderately heavy task on the go ( I have mixed a 27 track song with at least 100 plugins in Sonar, Ableton and Samplitude...yes I'm dumb and need 3 DAWs for everything!!) with only a 8th gen i5, 16 GB of memory.

Asus' products and response on social media is horrible. Idk who are the people who recommend Asus for good service.
I bought a Vivobook worth ₹55k and it is completely built of plastic. And not even good plastic, its just mediocre one. The lid doesn't close completely. Its Keyboard had to be replaced within 6 months of purchasing and then the motherboard was changed within 15 months. Now the replaced Keyboard has again stopped working, and I have no warranty left.
Call never goes through so I tweet to them to which they just don't reply. Neither did they reply when Motherboard had faulted, nor are they replying now. Then I had filed a complaint on consumerhelpline.gov.in last time, to which I got a call from some Mr. Mathew from Mumbai who said that they are looking into the matter and will provide me solution soon. He didn't reply even after 2 weeks and didn't pick my calls even once and then I went to the service centre (which I was trying to avoid due to Covid) and talked to the manager there. He at first told me that it may cost ₹40k to replace MoBo but when I told him to contact his seniors, he got it replaced free of cost but even then it took a month (lets blame Covid for this) as they had to replace either the keyboard or touchpad (can't remember) as it was found to be not working as well.
Don't think they will replace the keyboard, still I'll give it a try. I would've bought the keyboard from Aliexpress and replaced myself but damn, thats not possible now either.

Why did you buy the vivobook in the first place? I've seen some in a showroom in India. They looked good and all, but once you hold them, it became obvious that those laptops are bottom of the barrel stuff.
There were some Acer ( forgot names) with similar build.
CPU, Mobo, RAM do matter in a laptop, but the chassis/ hinges/ keyboard etc. matters a lot. And that's where the price shoots up.

I don't live in a tier 1 city and shops here do not have all the models available on display even today.. and I bought this laptop 2 years back.
2 months back when I went to Croma as I was searching for another laptop for my sister, they had only few Lenovo models and a single HP Spectre.
So I have to depend on specs and online reviews of others to decide which product to get. There were many reviews which mentioned Asus' service to be better than Lenovo or Acer, hence went with Asus. :/
Online options? I mean laptops are generally expensive. Not like mobile phones. Please be careful next time, way back in India I bought a hp laptop ( my first laptop) the screen started acting up, the hp service was horrible in my city too ( is Kolkata a tier I city?)

In this part of world, where I live now, most common brand of laptop is probably lenovo ( after Apple) followed by hp.

Got so many things sorted via this route.
Give this a go, but make sure your reasons are valid.
No court and stuff, your issue will be taken up directly by govt of India with the concerned party and just see how quickly they ll react and fix issues
I have got stuff done with jio, flipkart, sketchers, Delhi mcd, Delhi police, etc

Yup. I get almost all my electronics online only.
No, I just read such opinion on different forums. Though I have recently got a Thinkpad E14 Ryzen 4500u for my sister, I have yet to experience there customer service entirely.
