PS: if any pune ppl are interested, my dealer is quoting 2225 for the 250Gb (ST3250310AS single platter 8Mb) n 4425 for the 500Gb. Might not be the same model though. :ashamed:

I'm interested in getting the 250gb drive. Btw, I'd dropped my WD GP 500gb drive and now its performance is a bit jerky. Is there any way I can get it replaced or something?

Edit: Nah, I'd go for the 320gb I guess. It gives same performance as the 500giger right?
