ICICI B2 Banking - True Internet Banking

Select any nearest ICICI branch you prefer . Icici has unique account number no matter the branch. Select any icici branch to neft the money and it will be credited in your b2 account. This was also confirmed to me by cc chat in b2 login page.
 
neft is free with icici, atleast crediting is ( didn't try debiting yet ). Your other bank might charge a bit, SBI charges Rs.5/neft transfer .

For HDFC, NEFT is free, at least till now.

Paypal is working fine with eWallet. I just added the card to my paypal account and also charged the 1.95$ for verification. It hasnt reflected in the statement yet though.

But it seems to work just like a normal credit card and should be accepted for all international transactions as well.
 
^ If that's true, then it's awesome. No need for VCC if you have ewallet anyway. Did anybody tried using ewallet as CC on some international website ?

Well, it didn't work for me.

When i tried to add e-wallet in paypal account, i got a SMS from ICICI stating a Transaction has been declined due to insufficient balance.

Tranaction amount:Rs.150INR

Balance:Rs.500INR :S

Now, then i Asked about this on Live chat, they said Paypal is not supported.

dipen01 - It was charged to my b2 account. My eWallet balance went down by about Rs 100. The transaction details havnt reflected in the statement yet. Ill post a screenshot once its done.

Gaurish - First when I tried with no money in my eWallet I too got the same message, it said a transaction of INR1.95 was denied due to insufficient funds when it was actually $1.95. But once I added funds to ewallet it accepted the card in paypal.

One other thing is after I added funds to the ewallet, today I got a mail from ICICI saying

Dear Mr Vivek
We have received payment of Rs. 500 on your ICICI Bank Credit Card no XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX through ICICI Bank | Personal Banking | NRI Banking | Corporate Banking | Business Banking. on 16-02-2009.

So I think the ewallet should functions just like a normal credit card. :)
 
^ Once your account is activated you can use the live chat!! :) Or else you can call them. :)

Edit : The paypal EXPUSE is now shown in the statement. :P :P So it works perfectly for international transactions :)

Also the available funds show as Rs 2398 eventhough I have only Rs 400 in the ewallet. Their system is full of bugs. :P
 
Can we remove the money for E-Wallet ?

I could see an option of Fill Ewallet.. But nowhere could i find, tranferring funds from Ewallet to Savings A/C ?

So i suppose once you transfer money to your Ewallet, you have to use it ?

Same thing is happening with me..!!

I got the message saying.

Your transaction of INR 1.95 on Credit card was declined due to insufficient limit. Limit available : INR 0.

So what seems to be the problem ?

I transferred 500/- INR to ICICI B2 Acc i.e Savings and then transferred all of that to Ewallet.

So current ewallet - 501/- and Savings a/c - 0/-

@varkey :- can you post the detailed process with which you linked your ewallet to paypal. may be I am missing something, or doing something wrong.

Let the money stay there, as you may need it in future. e-walled is just like a credit card, you want use it to shop whereever credit card is supported(Online).

or else

Request A Demand draft to be send you, i got mine in 7days.

@varkey :- I transferred the money last night.
And i have got the identical mail from ICICI this morning. I tried again but with no success.

Again , I got the 'Insufficient Limit' sms.

Also while trying to Confirm the ewallet @Paypal, now it says that Card number is already registered..

Its so confusing, may be when you come online we can discuss through IM and solve it ?

I think you can ask via Live chat to refund the payment. Cause when I tried to add funds to the ewallet it accidently added 5 times the amount to my ewallet due to some error in their system. I asked them to refund the money and they did it after 3-4 days.

I didnt do anything special. First with no money in the card I tried to verify my paypal account and I got an SMS saying there was insufficient funds. After that I added funds and tried and paypal accepted the card without any issues. I had posted the screenshot with the transaction details in my previous post.

The only difference was that I had about Rs 2500 in my ewallet when I tried other than that there seems to be no difference.
