^ Once your account is activated you can use the live chat!! :) Or else you can call them. :)

Edit : The paypal EXPUSE is now shown in the statement. :P :P So it works perfectly for international transactions :)

Also the available funds show as Rs 2398 eventhough I have only Rs 400 in the ewallet. Their system is full of bugs. :P

how long did it take to get paypal code?

I did verification on 27th but but nothing till now:huh:

{edit}

Done:hap2:

You have successfully entered your 4-digit PayPal code. The $1.95 USD charge on your card will be refunded to your PayPal account. This refund may take up to 24 hours to be reflected in your PayPal balance.

But paypal sucks in terms of exchange rate! they charges me at following rate:-

$1USD = Rs53INR:@

and what exactly is wrong with this?

the rupee is hovering at around 50. so after covering all thier costs it kinda works out to be just as much as any other bank..

It took more than 24 hours to get the code. Banks also charge an extra 3.5% for foreign currency transactions.

I am unhappy with the volatile exchange rates:no:

^^

Yes the exchange rate really sucks. Also when you withdraw money from paypal to your bank account they again charge 3.5% as currency conversion fees so the rate will be much lesser!! :( :(

Todays paypal exchange rate for withdrawal is ONLY 49.14 INR :(

I never really checked how long but I think it should get credited within a day or two.

Yup, paypal earns in exchange rates only!

So, does it makes sense to use your E-wallet directly on trusted International websites? Because then you will get Exchange rates decided by VISA. Atleast it would be better than PayPal's Exchange rates

what do you think?

Even in international sites you will be charged the same thing, as for all international transactions the bank itself will charge 3.5% extra.

Ok.. I linked my ewallet with Paypal and confirmed the account by using the code..

I haven't had much experience with Paypal , but i intend to withdraw some $80 from my Paypal to My Ewallet..

How should i proceed?

treat it as normal credit card, so whatever if possible in your CC, is possible in e-wallet. I won't recommend you withdraw it on your card, as it would be confusing.

waise, a better option is to withdraw money into your b2 savings account.

use. it would take 5-7days

the IFSC Code (Indian Financial System Code) - ICIC0000323 - Lower Parel - Mumbai.

Although I could find out the option where i could withdraw my Papal funds to my CC i.e Ewallet.. But its way too costly i.e $ 5 per transaction.. So better option is withdrawing it to Savings Account i.e B2 acc.. Charges are INR 50/-.. when amount is less than 7000 and free if more than 7000.

Anyways, Apart from that when i added my Bank Account to Paypal.. It didn't ask for any verification code or anything (which was required while linking CC). So is it normal ?

Finally, Is there any way to ADD FUNDS to Paypal with Credit Card, now that it is linked ? I couldn't find such option in Add funds..

Verification is not required when you add a bank account in India as its only for withdrawal. In US you can use your bank account to fund the paypal account too so in that case verification is done.

Also withdrawal to bank account is pretty fast and usually takes max 2 working days for me.

You need NOT ADD funds to paypal. Just proceed as you normally pay using paypal and if the funds are not available in the paypal account it will automatically charge the Credit Card ie your b2 eWallet.

Thanx.. Didn't know that..

Also another thing:

The 104/- Rs ($1.95) )that was deducted while Linking Ewallet to Paypal; we are supposed to get that back right. Paypal mentioned it would take 2-3 days. Well in my case its more than 2 weeks. But I still haven't received that deducted amount.

Strange!

did you enter the code correctly?

If verification is completed successfully the amount charged will be refunded into your paypal account.

Try shooting a mail to Paypal on this matter, after verification it only takes 3-4days max!

Yup everything was done correctly...

Also there will another entry in statements regarding refund right ? as in so and so amount of money is refunded or something.
