Intel Arc GPUs

Yeah I dont know how anyone can recommend buying a 750 when a 6650XT gives you 15% more performance for the same price (lower price once the price cuts kick in).

It is not only performance but the product is quite unrefined. High idle power consumption, need for Rebar, glitchy graphics, poor high level DirectX API support.

Needs a crazy Intel fan to buy one, especially at the Indian price.

Hopefully Intel will be more competent with time in the gpu market. I guess the cards are performing on expected lines for the first gen apart from the production issues. We really need Intel to be a strong competitor to Nvidia & AMD. Look how the cpu prices become vfm once there is decent competition.

Arc is a mess right now and this situation is mainly due to bad (really bad) drivers. There is serious chatter that Intel may abandon Arc GPUs by next year. Right now, Nvidia has an absolute hold on the market.

The hardware is there for Arc but sw still needs a ton of work. Also at those prices it will sit on shelves. The 770 should be priced at what the 750 is priced at in India and 750 should be priced at rx 6600 levels.

Yep. Its bad enough that drivers and long term support have a big question mark over them already. To ask people to overpay for performance on top of that? DOA.

The pricing of gpu’s is not limited to intel Arc gpu’s,it’s been like that for a long time, don’t think will change anytime soon.
Basically the 3070 shown below should cost no more than 36k,if the US price were to reflect.

I've been using Arc for like 2 weeks now. I'd recommend people to stay away from it for the time being. Beyond the game drivers there are still a few stuffs which i feel are broken. For example a driver update would disable my controller and headphones and I'd need to manually enable them from device manager.

Lol! and few months ago few people here were so much OC that intel will blew up amd and nvidia...Now see for yourself!
Its never easy to establish or emerge as a King among the Kings!
For Intel its still a loooong way to go..

The hardware is there intel also beats AMD and Nvidia on pure RT perf. They just don't have the drivers to compete at the very top level.

Amd and Nvidia are decades ahead on this. I'd say intel will catch up in a couple of generations time. This GPU will probably age well with drivers but it's not there yet

Despite AMD being in Graphic card business for such a long time, their drivers were still sub par compared to Nvidia’s few years back,so expecting intel to really compete against the big two,I think, way too early for that.
