Graphic Cards Is my 1 yr. old XFX 8800 GTX outdated now ??

GTX is outperformed...not outdated!

If its playing the games you want at the IQ you want, then why bother about other cards.

Personally I wouldnt advice anyone to buy graphic cards for over 30k... its a waste of money IMO... even if you have lots of it.

^^If i were you, i wouldn't have worried, not atleast for another year. True, this card does get outperformed during lower resoutions, but turn up the resolution and you'll see the true performance of this card.

Stay with 8800GTX till April-May next year. Don't worry, it will handle Far Cry 2 etc with ease at 1680X1050. And when the next gen cards come in summer of 2009, buy a new card.

8800GTX hasn't been OUTDATED , it's just that newer cards have come...

My friend has a 8800GTX , and he's happy with it . He plays @ full reso .

I , on the other hand have a 8600GT and am happy with it as i got a 17" CRT monitor and it's max reso is 1280X1024 , so i can very well be able to play games till 2008 end .

Your playing on 1680x1050 and 8800gtx is STILL enough for it in most games, upgrades where you will see some difference would be 4870/260/280, and that card has lots of vram with the right bus, turn on aa/af and you wont notice any dips in fps. Stick with this card, until u really notice that it cant play games any more, & that will be later next year, not before that.
