That's your good luck if you can get to do it. One of those speakers still isn't available in India so I had to go with the videos which is fine because I picked up one back in 2016 on the same basis by the same reviewer. Both times it worked out fine.
Maybe it's an unorthodox way, but it works when done by experienced people. In amateur hands perhaps not. But with bass that isn't hard to get wrong. I've seen some samples on amazon that were good enough to answer the question of whether the bass is adequate or not
Maybe locate the speakers further away from the walls. That should reduce the boom, Many of these videos people have them on their work desk with maybe less than a foot away from the wall. That could have been the reason i heard it in the video also.
I went from a Bose Companion 3 to JBL 104s to Adam T5V. The Bose was easy enough to audition and they conked off during the Pandemic after 10 years of fantastic service. I had my eyes on the Adams since then but I was unable to audition them. The JBLs were available on sale around 5k and they were enough as a stopgap. When I finally got the chance to audition the Adams, I found them to sound exactly as in the review -

Another good set. These are now 50k+ for a pair while the JBL Lsr 305ii are 26k pair. I wonder if they are worth twice as much. Well I got them for 36k then. Prices have inflated ridiculously now. I thought the JBLs were more apt for near field listening.
Sweet deal then! Congrats. I got the Kalis for 30k. Front firing port was another reason for me to get the LP6s.

So why is this group of people so averse to providing something as simple as demos?
does not have to be perfect but they use that as a reason not to do it.
but after listening to a few and technically you're supposed to use studio headphones. Mine are not but I can hear differences, especially with bass or highs reasonably well.
How sound changes off vice on axis. Something that is more relevant with portable speakers than desktop. Very few people in the BT community even cater for that.
What do you guys think about these??

I am talking about low only as i am supposing that highs and mids are good with these...
Its nice to have a sub out option with these though.
I have just got involved in a project at work so that might keep me busy, hence I can wait ad well to buy a pair or 2.1 if prices come down appreciably in upcoming sales... So with the looks not that great a hurry

Simply because there are lot of factors at play - room correction, speaker placement, directivity, far field/near field etc. How you listen may not be the same as how they demo.
I believe in measurements since that is something you can see and interpret, and then can easily relate when you listen. But again my preference will always be listening directly to the source.

Now the issue is the bookshelf speakers / speakers which have enough bass response... Reviews here and there suggest a proper 3 way speaker so my search gave me these...

These are a good fit as far as buget goes, they look pretty decent and seem to be well built , but then these might not provide enough bass owing to smaller woofer and having 40hzto 20khz range and being two way, but I may be wrong..

Although there seems to be no interest anymore in this thread hence I am updating and getting it closed...
Was able to arrange 6ohm 150+150 watt Sony speakers.. And i seem to have hit the right notes,
Getting huge deep bass and pretty awesome high frequencies as well.. Will keep experimenting with more speakers but for the moment I am satisfied..

One thing I would like to add for the ones who might be interested...
Class D amps now are pretty goodb( the one I am using can easily match a class AB amp) and if you stream your music with Spotify with its inbuilt equaliser turned on..the results are fantastic...
Spptify's streaming qualitu is top class among all the similar services and the equalizer is fantastic...

Right so the speakers are a funny selection. I had owned a 140+140 watt Sony MHC RV50, music system till last year February. it had developed a cd recognition issue owing to lack of usage.. (hadn't used in years owing to my schedule) It didn't have BT usb so it was given away for free to a local repair guy by Mrs... who promptly disposed it and made quick buck as i had kept it pristine and always kept it dust free...
Incidentally I got the same speakers (the same model that Mrs had given away) from another local repair shop) they were used but in great condition, I bought them just to check how the amp will sound as my plan was always to get a custom pair from a manufacturer in chennai...

Don't have anymore info... But at around 70% volume with Spotify equalizer tuned to give higher levels of high and low frequencies, the results are good... Attaching a pic of the equalizer settings as well...
Regarding A, B, AB and D class amps I m still learning whenever u get time .. But its believed that the AB class of amplifiers are supposed to be producing great audio, but the refinement in the chips being used in class D amps is fast making these great sounding apart from being the most efficient ones...
