You might be able to demo JLB LSR 305ii (check locally)Yes, I could hear that a little bit in those samples. Due to passive radiators. Tight bass is not easy to do or cheap

That's your good luck if you can get to do it. One of those speakers still isn't available in India so I had to go with the videos which is fine because I picked up one back in 2016 on the same basis by the same reviewer. Both times it worked out fine.If I am in the market for a Kali LP6 or any such speakers, I will never base my purchase decision on youtube reviews. I will insist on a first hand listening session, if a friend has it or in the place of purchase, before committing a penny. But that is just me so please feel free to ignore.
Maybe locate the speakers further away from the walls. That should reduce the boom, Many of these videos people have them on their work desk with maybe less than a foot away from the wall. That could have been the reason i heard it in the video also. You might be able to demo JLB LSR 305ii (check locally)
I went from a Bose Companion 3 to JBL 104s to Adam T5V. The Bose was easy enough to audition and they conked off during the Pandemic after 10 years of fantastic service. I had my eyes on the Adams since then but I was unable to audition them. The JBLs were available on sale around 5k and they were enough as a stopgap. When I finally got the chance to audition the Adams, I found them to sound exactly as in the review -I had the same mind set but went with YT videos anyway. No regrets. Not saying you should do the same, just sharing what I did. I had no clue where to demo these monitors. I checked not one but multiple reviews, not all of them can be sellouts to promote this new startup I guess. I never really enjoyed the Swans M50W, gave it to my cousin and the volume knob of it does not work now. That 22k set is almost useless. I have used : ATP3, Edifier DA5000 Pro 5.1, Swans M50W, not satisfied. With the Kalis my quest for good PC speakers ended. I am so happy with these I don't feel the need to use ATHM40x and the BLON 03.
Another good set. These are now 50k+ for a pair while the JBL Lsr 305ii are 26k pair. I wonder if they are worth twice as much. Which DAC you using with the Adams?I went from a Bose Companion 3 to JBL 104s to Adam T5V. End game for me.Adam T5V Review (Studio Monitor)
This is a review and detailed measurements of the Adam T5V Powered Speaker. It was kindly purchased new by a member and drop shipped to me. The T5V costs US $200 each. Much like the rest of Adam speakers, the T5V has a serious look to it: Back panel shows good connectivity and usual...www.audiosciencereview.com
Well I got them for 36k then. Prices have inflated ridiculously now. I thought the JBLs were more apt for near field listening.Another good set. These are now 50k+ for a pair while the JBL Lsr 305ii are 26k pair. I wonder if they are worth twice as much.
Sweet deal then! Congrats. I got the Kalis for 30k. Front firing port was another reason for me to get the LP6s.Well I got them for 36k then. Prices have inflated ridiculously now. I thought the JBLs were more apt for near field listening.
Khadas Tone 2Which DAC you using with the Adams?
Guys... It seems someone in their utter passion to help didn't realise that I am infact asking if anyone had any experience from LR mkt...
As far as budget goes I can stretch it to any length, as i have done in the past though I didn't have any knowledge of what to buy at that time....
Point here is I don't wish to invest so much as I won't be getting time to listen... It's an urge to understand the scene and see what others are using and if I can find so etching suitable....
Nice that most of the guys are chipping in with their knowledge as this would help all of us... Kudos to my ma @blr_p, @Rockfella @nitin_g3 @john1911
@greenhorn @krsamy for their time and valuable inputs and suggestions...
There is nothing you can listen to. It's just a graph he plots with some equalization tips. The review which @Rockfella linked to has the listening test at the end. Some equalization is needed to get the best out of them.
Yes I realized what you were referring to later. There is nothing you can listen to. It's just a graph he plots with some equalization tips.
So why is this group of people so averse to providing something as simple as demos?Yes I realized what you were referring to later.
Please do not go to that market!
What do you guys think about these??So why is this group of people so averse to providing something as simple as demos?
does not have to be perfect but they use that as a reason not to do it.
but after listening to a few and technically you're supposed to use studio headphones. Mine are not but I can hear differences, especially with bass or highs reasonably well.
How sound changes off vice on axis. Something that is more relevant with portable speakers than desktop. Very few people in the BT community even cater for that.
Find & post some demo videos for that model, as I've done above. Ones that have bass track samples in them. What do you guys think about these??
Deal of the day: Edifier R1855DB Multimedia 2.0 Bookshelf Speaker with Bluetooth 5.0, Optical,Coaxial line in with Sub Out https://amzn.eu/d/elsQemC
that's why you need demo videosCan they perform well with low frequencies for a room size of 12x15 feet
Yeah but even with a video out of a phone uploaded to amazon I can tell hereYou do realize that the audio chain goes like this -
Original speaker -> Microphone -> Recording and mixing or Youtube server, if live -> Your speaker/headphone
Simply because there are lot of factors at play - room correction, speaker placement, directivity, far field/near field etc. How you listen may not be the same as how they demo.So why is this group of people so averse to providing something as simple as demos?

Any thought guys??Right, as i am unable to find a solution on my own so seeking help again from the community...
Please don't try to judge based on my quest to. Limit my spending.. or post demeaning comments....
Right so after searching here and there in search of a budget audio setup to satiate my little audiophile urges, for a change placed order of this mini amp yesterday

I have arranged a power supply for it as well... The reviews about it's sound quality if attached with correct power supply and good speakers has been very nice.. So the board will be delivered tomorrow...
Now the issue is the bookshelf speakers / speakers which have enough bass response... Reviews here and there suggest a proper 3 way speaker so my search gave me these...
Sound King SK10E Power Speaker With 10" Woofer 30-220 Watts 4oHMS 1Pair(Amplifier Needed)
1.High quality woofer speaker ( pair) 2.Power - 30 : 220 watts RMS 4ohms each unit 3.Size: H-57cm x w-32cm x d-27cm net weight - 14kg/per unit 4.Material - MDF+ PVCwww.doogesound.com
10 inch woofer
5 inch mid range
1.5inch silk dome tweeter
Claimed to be giving 35hz to 20khz frequency response
Costing 16k ( might get a 8% discount coupon as well, they weigh around 14.5kg a piece)
The design is dated and they seem to pretty big and heavy.. As demo isn't possible I am not ready to spend as much as 15k for these...
There is another option, from same company soundking
Sound King F-35G GLASS FIBER CONE Bookshelf Speaker 20-100Watts 8OHMS MDF+PVC Box (Amplifier Needed)
1. High quality woofer speaker 2. Power - 20 - 100 watts RMS 8ohms each unit 3. Size: H-36cm x w-22cm x d-28cm net weight - 13kgs/pair 4.Material - MDF+ PVC 5.Glass fiber conewww.doogesound.com
5 inch woofer
1inch silk dome tweeter
These are a good fit as far as buget goes, they look pretty decent and seem to be well built , but then these might not provide enough bass owing to smaller woofer and having 40hzto 20khz range and being two way, but I may be wrong..
Was wondering what the community here feels regarding these with respect to that amp board..
Are there any other options below 10k or 12k or even 15k, even well built decent local brands like soundking...
Can you link to those speakers? Was able to arrange 6ohm 150+150 watt Sony speakers.. And i seem to have hit the right notes,
Getting huge deep bass and pretty awesome high frequencies as well.. Will keep experimenting with more speakers but for the moment I am satisfied..
Right so the speakers are a funny selection. I had owned a 140+140 watt Sony MHC RV50, music system till last year February. it had developed a cd recognition issue owing to lack of usage.. (hadn't used in years owing to my schedule) It didn't have BT usb so it was given away for free to a local repair guy by Mrs... who promptly disposed it and made quick buck as i had kept it pristine and always kept it dust free...Can you link to those speakers?
I gave you enough pointers on how to tell if the bass will satisfy you now let's see how it is
Your amp question however had me stumped. I have no clue how to tell you whether A or B is better and why
