Congrats Nikhil !!! Have a great time with that bike..

And yeah, no matter what people say, an Enfield is a Harley in India :ohyeah:

P.S. - Bring that bike down here next time ;)

Edit : Whatta pic :O !

no matter what I mentioned about the build quality earlier...

theres nothing like the ride of a bullet.

& that pic... WOW !!

congrats nikhil aka tracer ... the enfields are in a league of their own and cant be compared to shitty sports bikes like karizma n all .. come what may enfields will still remain a passion for so many people ..only bikes i can compare with enfied are my yamaha rx100 and rx135 .. hehe .. nothing like them either....and ya do join one of those "enfield clubs" and enjoy as hell !!

who told you that a karizma is shitty.
I am proud to own one.
Next time dont call a zma shitty i just hate when someone calls a beauty like zma shitty.

Its just a matter of taste , some like cruisers some like sports bikes.

[Peace]

Nice bike there Nikhil , congrats on ur new bike purchase.
And that pic is gr8.

Congrats Tracer, wow that Bullet rox... its cool man:D, btw i just got my Bajaj Avenger:P

Congrats Tracer!!

Once a Bullet, Always a Bullet!!
There's no substitute to a Bullet but another Bullet!!

(lame but excuse- not all enfields are Bullets!!:P )

And i still remember this incident and will all my life-
I went to the Bandra showroom, on crutches, coz my friend wanted to testride the Enfield bikes!!
Met a well-to-do, very young guy there, just turned 18 or 20, along with his girlfriend!!
And after i was done discussing specs with the engineer, he asked me if it was ok for him to get a bullet- coz it was gonna be his first bike!!
And whether it was ok to taqke the bike to his farmhouse at Alibaug!!
(Must have mistaken me for a Bulleteer- Tall and fat, greased jeans, long hair, cap and ahem- crutches!!)
So young, the love of his life- i mean the girl and the Bullet!!
I said forget about any issues pal, grab it with both hands!!
Not many are lucky to get such a combination- reality check- the old fart on crutches in front of you!!
And as it is with any bike, you learn while you ride, so the issue of adjusting is of no concern- be it a moped or Bullet!!
But the point is- i won't forget that couple ever!!
(AAH!! Stabs in the heart and turns to ciggies!!)

Now whenever we need to hunt down a good place to chill for a meet, we shall send our own TRACER on a BULLET:P !!

Now get a Sholay type sidecar!!
And then we can sing Yeh Dosti...!!:P

And you can bump off the sidecar when i get too irritating!!

BTW, Used to hate bullets!!:ashamed:
Being a performance freak:P ,
that engine was way dated- extremely inefficient whether it was fuel efficiency or bhp/litre,
no end to leaks and squeaks- Due to which i even rated the max100 or any maintenance free vehicle better,
Lack of effective anchors- 80kmph, damn i wouldn't do 60kmph on that!!

I don't exactly love them now but don't hate them either!!:cool2:
You can say the Bullet and me have come to terms with each other, after all that may be the only vehicle i ride;) , albeit with a sidecar:P !!

First and foremost- Thank you Siddharth Lal(i think thats his name)- for infusing new life into a Legend!!:hap2:

We shouldn't give up on the good stuff- I am not giving up my plans of rebuilding an RD350, so what if it just might end up with a side car:P !!

Thank you for that much needed Front Disc Brake!!:ohyeah:
I can think of doing 80kmph now, just enough to do intercity or interstate!!

Thank you for the Electric Start- Though gung ho Bullet guys will say thats sissy!! But lesser chances of weak knees and back in old age!!

Thank you for the Gas shocks and the improved front suspension!!

Thank you for the reduced leaks and squeaks!!

Thank you for lesser breakdowns and lower trips to the service station= lower maintenance!!

All in all, a much better vehicle now!!:hap2:

So, Enjoy your MACHINE, BABY or WIFE, as you prefer to refer to it!!
BTW, where did you get it from- the Bandra Auth. Showroom??
Stick to them for the service for a while!!
Soon you shall have enough Bulleteers as pals- courtesy official Mumbai bullet club- , then maybe, after you consider judiciously, you can move on to inexpensive but better Tuners!!

p.s. Though you jumped the gun by a few months!!
Most of my pals are waiting for the onslaught of even better machines from Enfield- supposedly more stylish, reliable and maybe more fuel efficient!!
Though like a few others, I am waiting for the not so Fuel efficient Enfield HURRICANE;) !!

just one mod for now, keep rest for later when you are well acquainted with it!!

Did the bike come with that handle bar or you got it replaced at the showroom!!

If the latter, then ask them for it as they just charged you for the new one and kept yours for sale!!
The conventional AVL350 or Bullet handle bar is much better for daily use, as well as for backpacking on bikes on highway trips!!
Like Viggy said!!

If the former, ask the showroom guys if they will replace that handle bar with the conventional handle bar, else buy one from them, get it fitted and keep this one at home!!!!

Much better in traffic- which is the only bane of the Bullets!!
Also technically, the front supension is not loaded with the one viggy suggested and it will perform better!!:cool2:

for all those who dismiss the bullet, get a test ride of Thunderbird.. once u ride it, u'll never want anyother bike :D

@ tracerbullet: Many congratulations bro :D

That's for that exhaustive post man! That's pretty much what I've done too. It's my first bike and I haven't done much riding before this. I've done the whole thing spontaneously :)

Regarding that picture, it was taken by my sister yesterday, and then touched up on the machine. She's a photographer so she's darn good. Which is why I had her take pictures of me.

So, Enjoy your MACHINE, BABY or WIFE, as you prefer to refer to it!!

Damn, I didn't know that now. But it wouldn't have influenced my decision much. I wanted an enfield and wanted it quick! I could barely contain my excitement and patience just waiting for the loan to pass through etc.

That's the handlebar it came with. I've done nothing yet. But I haven't noticed any difference between the conventional Enfield and Machismo handlebars. And what front suspension is this one you're talking about?

^^No man, the windshield costs an additional 2-3 thousand!

Oh and just if I wasn't clear (suggestion from Sunny) since my bike's the new machismo, it has the new AVL engine.

Hey tracer any idea about the mileage of Your Bike:P

Edit after Anish Post: I know that but still:P
