Never ask owners of a Pulsar 180, Karizma, RD 350s, Roadkings and Enfields that question :P

Why did you leave Avenger in that list :(, its worser than P180:P

The machismo isn't so bad from what I've heard (due to the more efficient AVL engine). I've been told to expect 40-45 kpl. Let's see how it works out.

Concerning Siddharth Lal, Royal Enfield is part of the Eicher Group. So he is involved in a way, right?

Yes.... Exactly... but some time back(abt a year back) he was direct head of RE. And thanks to him you got better bikes. You got the Thunderbird and better build quality and fit and finish on the other RE bikes.

now, he is not directly involved with RE.

A BULLET is a BULLET, not a bike!

it's a life altering experience to own and ride one...

Enjoy the beast , and give it the respect it deserves...Congrats !

Amazing Pic BTW....

Any pointers on how it was shot would be appreciated!

heres the pic of my friends seat i was talking about. the angle of the photo is pretty bad, but it looks absolutely classy in real life, especially when youre following the bike. But i have to repeat myself saying that this is a bad idea if you plan to carry passengers regularly.

Ill pm you a better photo if i find one.

^^Hey thanks man, but that seat does look quite daunting! and yeah I do have an important pillion rider to please :) Incidentally, how old is that machismo? My rear mudguard is black in colour and whole lot heftier from the looks of it.

Okay and here's a problem: Sometimes when I go over a bump too fast (but not over 40 kmh as I'm still under 500 kms), and this usually occurs either in 3rd or 4th gear, it slips back into neutral. The clutch isn't pressed or anything. It just happens on its own. Any ideas why, or how should I get it rectified?

wow dude congratulations !
As everbody has said a Bullet is a Bullet ! Even I am goin to purchase one in a year or so ! You are very Lucky , Njoy !
And Yeah Get a good Leather Jacket and a sexy Girlfriend ! Nice combination for a bullet !

Its pretty old. i remember overhearing someone saying 2000 or 1999, but i think its older than that.

The issue your talking about is the infamous false neutral. The gear falls between 3rd and 4th, not meshing with anything, and hence seems like neutral. Not sure of the soln though.

Well, I had the privilage to see it and sit on it today:bleh:
All thanks to tracerbullet who got the bike to meet me:D

I got one word for it "Awesome" :ohyeah:

Sadly he had to rush away...but there was enough time for me to check it out properly...

Great buy is all i can say:)
And that pic by ur sis is amazing....though the bike in person looks much better:P and shines more:D Well maintained so far:D

well i hope the shine lasts till 6th may ...(mumbai meet)
for surely i will ride / bang it then :D  ...(have only ridden a bike once in my life, in the close comfort of my factory and the watchman kick started it...so you can say i do have some expirience:ohyeah: )

Then , if Brother Harshal is present, and if the bike is in ridable state, then perhaps the bike would be found in some neighbouring state within few hours ...;)

ps: Tracerbullet , should i get my own helmet or will You lend me your's.? now dont say you will come by cab ;) ......j/k

oh yeah..... I do hope you wear a helmet EVERY time you ride the bike :) ..... I dont know if helmet wearing is a law in Mumbai or not..... In b'lore it is not a law.... so, people dont wear except to get me off their backs :P

I harass all my friends abt that :P

Congrats for buying the new bike nikhil. Sadly wont be coming for the te meet on da 6th, coz im heading to GOA.

Anyway...IMHO u should have more of a sanjay dutt kind of a personality to ride these kind of bikes, then maybe some hot chick might ask you for a lift :bleh: :P

Just Kidding Bro.
