Thanks to Jio Fibre, I am getting new offers of 8K ~ 10 mbps in my area, where I am currently getting ~3mbps. However, here in Ghatkopar, the local ISPs play very dirty, cutting the lines of other local ISPs, have seen this happening before.

I'm getting 12mbps for 7.5k that too for 15 months. Not bad eh?

Yep, ION has been pretty good recently. I am using it at home as well as my work-place. Decent service, very little downtime and unbeatable prices.

i-on has started FTTH recently. earlier it was till the building or nearby building and lan from there. Is anyone using it? I heard the CPE is 1800 bucks which they waive off if you take 6 months. Not sure what advantage i-on fiber has over their regular connection, maybe even faster cached torrent/google services speeds? rates were same as their regular connection plans.[DOUBLEPOST=1485855324][/DOUBLEPOST]

Ok, I just checked and my i-on is only showing 365 days. Is this only valid for people who are renewing their existing 12M-365UL?[DOUBLEPOST=1485855591][/DOUBLEPOST]They also seem to have changed their plans again. Monthly, 1Mbps is 400, 3M is 499 & 5M is 650. No more 2M/4M/6M/8M

I'm not going to ignore Jio rumors in print media now. All their sources are pretty accurate.

- Rs 10/GB of data. (Yes, we're getting it)
- Rs 100/month offer (Yes, We have it)
The operator is working out a new tariff plan which will be valid till June 30, said people familiar with the developments in Jio as well as analysts.:D
- 1Gbps Speed on FTTH (Coming)
- 100mbps - 100GB data (True, offered as trial for eligible societies)
- 100mbps - 500GB data for 1k in coming days (Might be, Fingers crossed)

Any links for FTTH rumours on established media? i have seen such rumours only on small websites with no credibility that too few months back. Even the established media are just playing a guessing game here and gave out wrong info about only 50 Million Jio Prime subscribers

There is no way for us as individuals to verify if these figures either airtel or jio are giving are complete bollocks. So why even discuss stupid marketing figures?

I bet these are also fake plans. More like a wishlist. In any case, I'd hate to see "daily download limits" instead of a monthly quota where you can use up the downloads whenever you want.

For example, in my usage scenario, where I mostly get online on weekends for downloads, a "daily limit" of 10 GB, while it sounds like 300 GB per month, actually works like 80 GB per month for my usage scenario, which sucks.

^ True that. Forum noobie here. I'm pretty sure there won't be any daily limit but rather a large sum of data with a month long validity. I would't be surprised if they decided to the kill data cap concept which has been nothing but a hinderance in broadband penetration.
