If you're talking about a wireless router, I can tell you, nothing comes close to the Asus RT-N16. It is expensive, yes, but I have it in 3 locations and they are as stable as a rock! All three run dd-wrt and have 1TB external drives connected to them. The current uptime on an average is 36 days! I can manage my downloads from any location anywhere in the world and the transfer speeds from the router to a system too are acceptable! The maximum uptime has been 62 days when I had to reboot the router to check whether my dataone connection was acting up! No issues otherwise.
The WZR HP G300NH from Buffalo can run the DD-WRT as well. Officially supported as well! Buffalo Technology - Support - Downloads

This is one of the best VFM routers that supports the draft speed ATM. Allwyn, I think you should get this. Do not get it from ebay though - get it directly from a local retailer. Should cost about 4.4~4.6k. :)

Thanks for this Gannu! This is more VFM than the Asus.

^NP Sumit sir. Glad to be of help. And hey, guess what I could finally install Win 7 32bit on my N128. :D

ATM I have my home WiFi'ed through a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 router. Pretty old but the tamatar firmware kicks ass. Did not bother changing to a better router. I can comfortably browse the net on my netbook/iPhone even inside the loo :)

You mean by the BIOS mod method? I told you it works :p

I have modded 3 NP-150's, 1 NP-128 and countless numbers of Asus/MSI & Gigabyte boards for desktops and many other laptops. Not A single problem with any of these. MDL Forum rocks :D

No. :ashamed:

I used something else which unfortunately cannot be disclosed here should the mods see the post and ban me! :ashamed:

Anyways, what matters is it works and you were very helpful the other day despite the hectic schedules you were into. TYVM. :)

if you have the budget for the asus which is close 8k, you could consider the netgear wndr3700, i am using it currently & its brilliant.
