Logistics Scam - Got Scammed Twice via Amazon Shipping

Better Idea:

Buy security courier bags (non labelled or of Amazon / Flipkart) for appropriate size, put your items inside it. Use non transparent / non brown tape like that with Flipkart or Amazon name or use void tape (leaves marks when pulled out). Paste a "Do not accept if tape is tempered" sticker / page over tapes on both sides, add a QR code for fun to make it more legit. Now put it inside another security bag and paste the label over the opening of bag / bag seal.
Not sure how much security courier bags costs but they must not be cheap. If you are using multiples for each parcels the cost adds up quickly. Only do this for expensive items I guess.

Delhivery uses a A4 size sealable cover when picking up items here in Anupuram TN.
idk about the size, but yes that is true.
- whenever one books and urgent/express shipment they use the sealable bag
- also at a time when a shipment gets delayed or reached a wrong place and now its delayed cuz of that.
at that time/scenario too they can/may use sealable bag (a recent experience)

Not they're cheap like, a 100qt security bag shouldn't run more than 300-500.

Example (may require different size): https://amzn.in/d/bGYCy01 (Amazon packing)
https://amzn.in/d/iXsrWr3 (Non branded)

Similarly you can find Amazon or Flipkart or void tape (more expensive)

Lastly, always mark your parcel as fragile/handle with care. This way no one will dare to open it but for this the package shall be sufficiently mid-sized to large else you will pack some 10x10 and declare fragile and none will give a damn about it!

Not a fool-proof idea but knot a thread tightly (covering all 4 sides so 2 lines going across) on the package so its visible and put tape on it, then tell the consignee to not accept the order if its broken or loose. Most thieves would straight up not bother tampering with it and if they did you can easily know its tampered. Now the fun part, when the package returns you just weight it in front of the courier guy and since it would be tampered the weight will be different.

Let me know if anyone got any better idea I can also show you how the package looks after its packed. This will of course not work if the courier service packages the item over our own packing.
That sounds like a pretty good idea indeed!
wdym by karma ?

most likely your local hub is doing this. There's almost no way to track where it happened in the supply chain, just you'll have to change the shipping provider.
Yes I know that, 100% sure it is happening in my region.
Cuz 2 orders, to 2 different parts of India, one to Chennai, other to Gujarat.
Can't be an in - transit incident.

Best part - no more TE orders were dispatched via Amazon, pending orders are all on DTDC / Delhivery
Worst part - 3 more orders (NVME, NVME, Smartwatch) are via Amazon Shipping, dispatched around 4-5 days ago, just hoping that these not be tampered. I've informed the customers to reject the package if they see any extra taping / tampering signs on the box.

Also don't pack in packages that give mobile box like feel. Courier guys have more chances of opening it. Speaking as e-commerce seller experience.
Kinda hard considering all the boxes that aren't big are in that "mobile box" shape naturally.

RIP

Today, 2 packages got delivered

1 - 2 x boat smartwatches
Arrived safe and sound, no tampering on the outside.

2 - Hynix PC801 1tb Gen4 NVME SSD (100% health)
Package received empty, only bubble wrap present, ssd missing.
Rs. 4500 loss

More 2 still in transit
1 - Hynix BC901 512gb Gen4 NVME SSD
2 - Samsung PM9A1 1tb Gen4 NVME SSD

I have informed both these buyers to simply reject the delivery, even if everything looks safe.

I DID INFORM ALL 4 CUSTOMERS TO BE SAFE AS AMAZON SHIPMENTS ARE BEING TAMPERED FROM MY REGION
Texted all of them about the entire situation, but this super-human, was playing with the "Disappearing Messages" settings on our chat (the one which got scammed today, 1tb Hynix), and hence he missed out on that warning message, and happily accepted the package
Who is at fault this time ?
My job was to warn, he messed up everything, still the blame is on me about using poopy courier service.

Had a talk with iCarry, they said even with unboxing video, if the package is not insured, they doubt if I will get claims.

So now preparing another package with Dead NVME, will declare value as Rs. 10k, ship via amazon, with insurance, and if this works out, this is gonna be my next business model (gonna use it as long as it works)

Make amazon pay this time to recover your damages.
Ensure to make a packaging video for both but separately.
Take two identical boxes, pack one with an sdd and another one with a tiny soap.
Now, insure and ship the soap box assuming its an ssd and then put the claim on amazon. You got the video evidence of the another box to show them.
