I killed two of them, then ran for it.

and activated the switch or whatever.

So just completed the game. My reaction : bah

With all those cut scenes while arriving the sol relay i was all pumped up.

I dont like what I am reading, gonna start ME3 shortly, you guys were the reason I completed ME1 and2 in 15 days, and now this
<

The game is still great, it's the last 10 mins that upset the fans. Start it, you will not be disappointed with most of it

You may not get disappointed as you yourself has stated that you played the game because all others have played it.It seems the guys who were true fan of this game are feeling disapponted.

I restarted ME cause of the praise, that doesnt mean I dint like the series, thoroughly enjoyed and loved the storyline, I enjoyed 2 more than 1, even though 2 was much easier, but more refined gameplay imho. Wondering if I should spend another $10 on the 'Lair of ths Shadow broker'

^^Then its upto you.
<
As for myself i did not liked any of the series that much.Yes the second part was a bit better than the first but not a fan of the series.

Yeah the ones who spent a lot of time in the series and put in a lot of thought into every tiny decision are the most disappointed.

Speaking of which, tif, I read your mega spoiler post a few pages back. I have to say, I couldn't have phrased it better myself. That was an excellent summary of the amount of disappointment for the ending. I wouldn't say the whole game, as such, was ruined, but it makes us wonder, how could the writers come up with such an ending to conclude the finale.
<

The only decent explanation which people have come up with so far is that Bioware wanted the ending to be canon, to set up the stage for another series in the same universe.

I said ruined because you can restart the final mission 3 times over and check out all the endings. Compare that with ME2 - had I made a mistake midway, like not upgrading some part of my ship - I would've lost some crew member in the suicide mission. That was a compelling enough reason for me to replay the game and see what I could've done better.

Which make no sense at all, since they're virtually the same, with minor changes.

Amen! I made that mistake; I moved on, I vowed to be back with a vengeance and I did. They could have at least added an epic boss battle at the end. Dropping the same half-arsed reaper horde was utterly stupid. Why the hell did we build all that military strength for?

The ending left me confused. I don't know. I just didn't enjoy it. Nope.

Don't know if Shepard dies. Anderson died, Earth destroyed, Reapers destroyed and Mass Relays Destroyed.

Joker's ship crashed, but show door opening at unknown planet with forests.

Final video of "STARGAZER" telling the small boy this entire story. The StarGazer is Shepard I believe..

After that game should have ended. Instead, I get back to the ship, and everyone's alive again and the Reapers are there. :sigh:

Hate it. Up till 3:30am even though I have full day college tomorrow. Played 3 days through and I just didn't...

:sigh:

I didn't even get a scene with any of them....

How much war assets did you collect comp!?? That determines your ending.

If your effective Military Strength was above 2.5k then shepherd lives barely if you choose to destroy the reapers, this is the only way to keep shepherd alive.

I know the ending wasn't perfect, but a heroic ending to a game like Mass Effect would ve been a such a cliche..

Too many people expected an ending like in the star wars movies I guess
<

Anyways i dont think every game needs to have some boss battle towards the end.If the story is strong enough to show its non requirement then i have no problem with it.

Of course, you don't need it for EVERY game. But a game like this, which had us scouting around the whole freaking galaxy hunting for resources and building up war assets, left us high and dry in final battle. In retrospect, check out Mass Effect 2's ending, it was a perfect combination of good (or bad) decision making + boss battle. Just complete the game, you'll understand what I'm trying to say.

^^ agreed the boss battle of me2 was a pushover, but as Ethan said it was a culmination of your decisions and upgrades. I have to say this me series is getting expensive, I just bought 1600 bioware points last night for the 'lair of the shadow broker' dlc. I will still have to get the 'arrival' dlc too. I have spent equivalent on the dlc to what I bought the digital deluxe edition.

The me3 dlc will burn another hole in my pocket. EA really milks its customers. I think it may be sensible to go the 'ahem' way with these franchises.
