I played it twice.....once full on action trip, twice Silent Assassin ;)
 
I wish I could play this games without playing them first games?

WIll it be OK if see all the cutscenes of previous games and start this one?

I don't have time to play so many games

Just go through mgs database incase you don't want to play earlier games the story is complicated in mgs4

Well it is never too late IMO. Allwyn, grab the MGS HD Collection, complete the titles and switch to MGS 4. Trust me, this is one title you shall never regret having attempted late.

I think I bought myself some time for Dark Souls now, did I?

Nothing fancy really. The game just needs to be engaging enough. Horror games usually grab my attention first and they are a treat for my night time endeavors. These type of stealth action games are more of an afternoon affair. Skyrim has occupied a better side of my day gaming, so I'll certainly have a go at one of the game from the HD collection, once I get some time. Is it necessary to play them in order? I take it Peace Walker is a self contained story, independent from the other games right?
 
^^Nope you dont need to go through all for this case.Read the history from wikipedia they give indepth or atleast the required knowledge about the protagonist.

Yeah Peace Walker is different from the original lineup albeit it follows the events from MGS 3 (which I haven't attempted since it was out only for the PS2 before). But the game garnered some very good reviews when it was out for the PSP. And is also short. Somewhere close to 5~6 hours top. MGS 4 took me close to 30+ hours IIRC and lasted me a week.

I am looking forward to play all the three from the HD collection in a single shot. Later i.e.
 
I played Peace Walker when i had my PSP but really found the controls to be weird and couldn't complete it. Wish there's a fix for the PS3 soon.
