MGS4 is what it is only because Konami designed it specially around for PS3. If it had gone multi-play, I doubt if it would've had any more appeal than Splinter Cell games, or would have gotten perfect 10's in reviews. This one deserves it unlike GTA4.
Talking about NPD numbers, PS3 outsold X360 in the recent month. I think the trend will be now kept up throughout the year. Like I said before, 2008 belongs to PS3. Also The MGS4-PS3 bundle on Amazon.com sold out within 4 mins and crashed the site. Amazon has never crashed before. The bundle is in super demand and its sold out everywhere. Sony should ship more.

Rex Vs. Ray! that was good, konami have gone well far with this game!, it was awesome, the end, the fight with Liquid, That was awesome, the way they used the music and HUD's it was amazing!

yes although u may think its got nothing to do with it. but infact its got everything to do with if u have or have not played the mgs series.
if you have actually played mgs series n dont really like it then its fair enough to say whatever you feel like as you can have your opinion.
but if u havent played any mgs so far & are basing your opinions on reading other people's views etc then all i have to say is please play the game, i will send you the earlier mgs1,2 & 3 also to play n finish them

Man you guys are gonna make me spend another 2.5k!! I havent played any of the MGS series,,,,but people all around are goin crazy and so are the reviews....hope a first timer to the series will enjoy it???.........

See, I don't really care whether MGS plays better as that will always be an opinion(i,e something subjective, on which no facts can be based). The fact is that the GTA series have sold better and was a way better catch for MS and also juding by how well GTAIV sold in favour of the X360, it would've followed true for MGS4 as well. So, it's really Konami who's lost here. But please guys, continue believing that MGS is Jesus in gaming form and that MS is gouging out their eyes right now for being unable to procure it when they've managed to pull almost everything else from under Sony's noses.

You're gonna get confused. Play MGS1 and MGS2 if you can, and try to get MGS3 Subsistence 3 disk pack, the 3rd disk called "Existence" is an almost 3hour 30min movie, gameplay and cutscenes blended together so you can enjoy the story without touching the controller. Watch it with your family/friends if you can and keep a handkerchief with you in the end because there will be tears
MGS4 is worth the wait, it'll be an experience of epical proportions playing from MGS1 to MGS4 one after the other.

@nish.....You need to consider that Total Number of 360 out there in Market.....it was obvious that M$ wud win considering they have almost 1/3 more consoles in market.....looking @ that eqaution...PS3 has done really well, considering the diff wasnt much between the 2 consoles sales.
