Moondrop chu 2 - replace cable or buy new IEM?

I've recently gotten into the audiophile world on a small budget and bought the Moondrop Chu 2.
I'm really enjoying this, it is fantastic. But one thing I didn't think about was the lack of inline controls (remote button). Now, every time I want to skip a song, I have to wake up my phone.

I usually listen to music before bed, now my family thinks I'm up watching videos in the middle of the night when I'm just trying to change the song .

What are my options now? Replace the cable or sell it and get another IEM?

Replacing the cable: It shouldn’t change the sound quality and shouldn’t cost as much as new IEMs. But finding the right cable within a budget has been tough since I’m not that familiar with this stuff.

Another IEM: It should be as good as or better than the Chu 2 and around the same price (+- Rs.500).

It's an official moondrop replacement cable with inline control for play/pause (sadly no volume controls). Don't change the earphones just for the cable, especially since you say you are enjoying this one. You can use the old cable as a back up in case this one fails. Happy listening !

Yes, I've been enjoying this one a lot. But since it is my first iem, no idea about anything else like wan'er or zero 2 or blon 03. Chu 2 was most favored for comfort, so I went with it ignoring inline controls.

Can we get a cable for something cheaper? I've seen reviews for this cable you've linked and there are some criticisms about it. Hence couldn't go forward earlier. I've been searching in reviews if anyone used that cable for chu 2 and shared their experience. But it's almost half the price of the iem

This one would work. Any "two pin 0.78mm" connector cable would work. Just pay attention to those words when making the purchase.

Iirc the reviews said 7hz zero cable was alright, so might be worth it for 400.
