Motor Pump for Kent Grand Plus

Hey fellas,

The motor pump (or whatever it's called) just gave out on our Kent Grand Plus (2014 bought). The price of a replacement unit is Rs. 2400 as per Kent. The problem is they only provide six months warranty on it. I found some motors selling on Amazon like Lexpure, which are priced at Rs. 1500. Are those good motors? Can i consider buying them over Kent original motors? Anyone having the same water purifier model as ours tried a third party motor? If it's, what's your feedback on it?

You can fix those motors, see if you can get a pump (Diaphragm pump mostly) repair person nearby.

Yes, thanks. The Kent guy came and said he can repair it and that will be Rs. 1200/-, however, no warranty on that. Do the repaired products go well in the future? There isnt lot of stuff to go wrong in that motor, its usually the diaphragm that gets torn, replacing it with a proper diaphragm will make it as good as new. The other part that can go out is the coil, but that is rare, again if rewound properly it will be as good as new. 1200 seems higher to me, please enquire at pump repair shops, these water purifier guys will charge an arm and leg for everything. Even he is going to give it to a pump repair guy anyway..avoid the middle man.
