At the top of the Firefox window, click the Help menu and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.... Firefox will start up with the Firefox Safe Mode dialog. Clicking the Continue In Safe Mode button starts Firefox in its Safe Mode. While you are in Safe Mode, your extensions and themes will be disabled, and any toolbar customizations will be reverted back to their defaults. if the problems disappear than addons are the culprit and you should update or disable them.
Else, Firefox has bugs & you should switch to some other browser
Can anyone tell me what is the reason that even with minimum addons firefox uses the system memory as if it is all its own. Every time i see the usage and it is the one on top of memory hoggers and always like 250-350MB
In comparison opera takes measly 50MB or less.
I have for now given up on Firefox and moved to opera and chrome.
^ Hmm, I am not too sure, I have tried a few, but didn't find any of them exceed my allocated bandwidth So they are all same for me. I use Orbit primarily because of their video grabber
