27 FLOORS
According to the plan, the house will rise to a height of 173.12 meters, equivalent to that of a regular 60-storeyed residential building. However, Antilia will have only 27 storeys in all, which means each floor will have a ceiling considerably higher than the current average of nearly three meters.

Six floors for parking
The first six floors — which have come up — will be reserved for parking alone, and that too for cars belonging only to Mukesh's family. Space for a total of 168 'imported' cars has been earmarked here.

Floor for car maintenance

Sources said the Ambanis would prefer to have all their cars serviced and maintained at an in-house service centre. This centre will be set up on the seventh floor.

Entertainment floor
The eighth floor will have an entertainment centre comprising a mini-theatre with a seating capacity of 50.

Balconies with gardens

The rooftop of the mini-theatre will serve as a garden, and immediately above that, three more balconies with terrace gardens will be independent floors.

The 'health' floors
While the ninth floor will a 'refuge' floor — meant to be used for rescue in emergencies — two floors above that will be set aside for 'health.' One of these will have facilities for athletics and a swimming pool, while the other will have a health club complete with the latest gym equipment.

For guests

There will be a two-storeyed glass-fronted apartment for the Ambani family's guests above the health floors. One more refuge floor and one floor for mechanical works will be built on top of these apartments.

Family
The four floors at the top, that will provide a view of the Arabian Sea and a superb view of the city's skyline, will be for Mukesh, his wife Neeta, their three children and Mukesh's mother Kokilaben.

Air space floor
According to the plan, two floors above the family's residence will be set aside as maintenance areas, and on top of that will be an "air space floor," which will act as a control room for helicopters landing on the helipad above.

Helipad
The plan states that three helipads are to be built on the terrace.

However, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials told this paper that permission for the helipads has not been granted yet.

"The residential plans were approved three-four years ago. Two levels of basement have also been shown in the proposed project," Sudhir Shinde, deputy engineer at the BMC's building proposals department said.

Staff
Nearly 600 staffers are expected to work full-time in the building, sources said.

Total stats
According to BMC records, the total area of Mukesh's Altamount Road plot is 4,532.39 square meters. The proposed built-up area is 4,778.09 square meters (only for residential purposes), and the permissible built-up area 4,939.81 square meters.

That's one concrete erection of capitalistic vulgarity in this developing country of ours. Someone ought to bring it down.

lol hope it builds up fast..than terrorist target will shift from wtc to reliance headquarters..and hope there downfall starts....

i really dont like this big guns coming in retail...no doubt others doing so is welcome..but already mukesh has his share of imported bread and butter....and still he taking bread butter of ppl who are illiterate and cant do anything else..he should have started a platform for all to come under one roof instead of creating monopoly...all knows becoz of corrupt politicans they are the number 1 of our country...also i do guess the war btw anil and mukesh is fake...jus to create more money...u can already see if there money comes together they come into top 5 richest ppl on earth......a fake war goin on and ppl are being fooled..and extra money pumped into their pockets via shares

I agree with Yamaraj. This is a sick display of wealth. You don't have to be a commie to realize that it reeks of over indulgence :bleh: .

There are a lot of other millionaires with the same attitude all over the world. I think people would appreciate them more if they lived more ordinary lives.

OT: I wonder how many trees were cut down to make way for this sham. Also wonder what the environmental impact(so much lighting, water etc. required) is.

^^If you have the dough, why not flaunt it . Nothing wrong in doing so... after all its your hard earned cash :P.

:^^ Not true dear...by that argument if you have a bomb why not deploy it......How would you like that?

Just because you can do it need not mean you should do it...

Just my philosophy :)

@raj not many people understand tht :)

personally i care 2 cents if they build nething as a matter of fact wouldnt bother also if tommorow they are seen on churchgate station begging

I agree with Chaos. They have worked hard (yes, they had a headstart, but still... the two ambanis did work very hard) and they haved earned so much.

Why dont they enjoy that cash.... I dont like people like Warren Buffett.

Well, even if they just inherited, its their choice...

Yes, it does reek of over indulgence...but then its their money...

doesnt make anybody else poorer, but would help if they used some of that cash for a nicer cause...

Again, that house is too vast and mammoth...its more like a business center...

Somehow thats not my idea of an ideal home...

heck if i had that amount of money i be buying islands and yes building these sorta houses :D ...its impressive and a great idea

Your argument is completely flawed. Deploying a bomb causes harm to others. Building a nice house does not :P.

^^Exactly... as a matter of fact it provides help in the form of employment to a lot of ppl as well as contributing to the economy in the form of taxes...

There is always room for more. Upper middle class ppl will go to reliance stores, lower middle class ppl will go to local shops, everyone is happy, why are you complaining ???

The Czars of Russia felt the same way. So did kings and so do many people. The thing is...in this era when everyone is talking of social responsibility and reducing their carbon output and the whole shebang, here comes one rich guy and screws up the efforts of a thousand people. I just think of those poor environmentalists struggling to save many of the dying species on out planet, global warming being so so real a threat and here comes this clown trying to pull one upmanship on his brother.

He could use his money for so many things better but just like all the others, he chooses the path of over indulgence. I'm not against him in particular but I just wonder about the human race. We will never solve our problems because of our very nature.

Also, I don't think he's living in a small apt right now. Hard earned....don't think so  And he doesn't have to deploy a bomb to add to the environmental disaster :cool2:

Edit: Just read Vij's post. Yeah..there's something creepy anout that house. Somehow, it just doesn't seem like it's a home. A concrete aesthetic disaster is what it looks like.
