Re: Need a program to do xxx task in GNU/Linux? Ask here!

^ got an application to read .lit files mate! :D

Calibre, it is basically an application that helps in conversion of documents.

It has a built-in reader which opens documents like PDF,LIT,chm

Any good torrent client with a built-in scheduler (like utorrent for windows)? Tried transmission and vuze, but both don't have a scheduler functionality. I schedule my downloads from 2AM - 8AM.

I read that ... I don't prefer adobe air apps
and mitter is only for Twitter.
choqok, purple micro blog not going to install KDE dependencies
thats the reason I am asking if there is anything besides these.
I tried command line ... unfortunately the password will be in the history so there are changes of miss use if my friends come over(which they do).
thats why my quest for a stable and nice micro blogging like choqok continues for GNOME

see now we are talking !!

qwit is awesome :) next to choqok :)

THANKssssssssss alot

sad I can't rep cause I need to spread reputation grrr that is a bad system.

ppl should be able to give reputation even if they haven't gotten any !

qwit and twitux where in the repo... rest I will have to go to their website and check it out but for now qwit is up to the job pretty well :hap2:

Thank God I won't get beaten up by you :P

and Empathy over pidgin was a very wrong move, qwit should have been there instead of gwibber.

and I am surprised still the dev team haven't released any fix for the social broadcaster :(

Re: Need a program to do xxx task in GNU/Linux? Ask here!

Can anyone suggest a simple comic reader for gnome?
Something that would fetch new comics everyday from the net.

Re: Need a program to do xxx task in GNU/Linux? Ask here!

Avidemux is another good video encoding tool. Handbrake's latest version (0.94) can encode only to h.264 (support for xvid/divx etc has been removed). I found WinFF a little crude and buggy. Avidemux was perfect.
