Hi

As the title says, im looking to shortlist a laptop which can help my househelp ('s son) to learn and pursue his career in 3D design and motion graphics. He's currenly working as a 2D designer and editor of creative and print files.
All suggestions are welcome, budget is quite strict as my househelp will be option for emi or loan option for this.
Kindly suggest.

Laptop for Blender or 3D design & motion graphics mean it needs a good CPU, RAM & GPU so under 50k means difficult need to extend to another 3k. Don't go with 13th gen Intel processors. Okay.
So you can get this: MSI Thin 15 Intel Core i5 12th Gen 12450H - (16 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 11 Home/4 GB Graphics/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050/144 Hz) Thin 15 B12UC-1692IN Gaming Laptop (15.6 Inch, Cosmos Gray, 1.86 Kg) @ 53k
You can enquire in local shops for this specific model and bargain and discount.

I am a bit skeptical about this recommendation mainly due to it being a relatively new brand in the laptop market but the Colourful Evol P15 is offering a 12450H and a 4050 combo at 48k. There has been some cutting like in the build quality, the SSD comes is quite slow and there no MS office included, it does run a bit hot but doesn't seem to thermal throttle and using a cooling pad would solve the heating issue. But the screen is pretty good for the price and so are the specs as the 4050 has almost 1.5 times the score of the 3050 in blender, the CPU is not the greatest but overall the performace would be better than a 3050 laptop. https://www.flipkart.com/colorful-p...evol+p15+&store=6bo/b5g&pageUID=1740214715436

I'm still looking, currently MSI model suggested above seems to be the closest. Also i can't suggest them a new brand like Colourful.
If there are any dealers who can maybe give a good deal maybe that would be the best value purchase.

Check out this Acer one it has the 6gb 3050 and the i5-13420h, should be a better choice than the MSI one imo, with offers and 6 month emi you can get it for 51k.

open to that also, please suggest
If he doesn't need the portability a desktop would be a great choice. Check this: https://pcpricetracker.in/b/s/b6dc7676-33ff-4415-b26b-3a8504263636

This for a completely new build, if you choose to go used for the GPU you could could get an even more powerful one like a 3070 for about 18-20k. I would recommend against AMD for the GPU only due the much better CUDA performance in blender tasks. If you choose to go for the used GPU you could also upgrade the CPU to a 5600x and add another stick of the same ram going upto 32gb, which I would recommend to do either way cause it's only Rs.2250 more and is doubling the ram. You wouldn't need a CPU cooler as both the recommended ones come with them in box and they are pretty decent given that there will be no overclocking involved. Also if you go for a used 3070 I would recommend upgrading the psu to a 650w model of the same one.

Sounds good, let me explore this option. This probably will be a good practical approach.
