^^^ dude I didn't purchased a sony lcd tv but I purchased a samsung 5 series lcd tv 32b550 model @ 32k...'
I read that.
Sony India was a typo. I meant
Samsung of course.
And I know the facts abt thailand and singapore products but dude all the products r same and in india they also import the same products but the prob is u hav 2 pay taxes which is preety high...'
I hope you also realize that what you are doing is illegal and culpable under Indian jurisdiction.
It's one thing to buy a product in Thailand/Singapore/Europe/US and pass through customs, but its a totally different thing to sell/buy a consumer electronics item in India without paying the VAT tax to the govt. It's plain
tax cheating.
Cheap deals are in public domain and are legal. This ain't it. So don't go on claiming
cheap deal! cheapest deal!(0%tax, 5% commission only!) on a public forum.
yes, these things are not uncommon, (a certain percentage of the market is always contraband) but there is nothing to be proud of here. If you can find a showroom, a website or a dealer who offers a
cheap deal publicly, do let us know.
last it all depends on ur luck and if in warranty ur products hav prob after 1 yr then u hav to pay 4 it..'
Yes, we the buyers can approach Samusung India for expert advice and genuine spare parts. You the cheater are on your own. Hey maybe you can take a boat trip to Thailand! I am sure your friendly contact can arrange that without a genuine plane ticket. Oh! you can play games and watch your favorite DVD on your LCD on your return journey.
Kidding aside, your LCD tv is not CRT tv where you can find a local repair man in a street corner, neither is it a desktop that can be repaired by yourself. It isn't even a laptop--buying laptops which are cheaper in foreign and bring them to friends and family in India, is a legal practice though--which have
global warranty and service facility.
Of course if you aren't unlucky, your LCD will be in excellent condition for
years. And of course you can always find a friendly
dealer who can get your LCD repaired unofficially for small change in your city.
So fair deal and luck also as I saved nearly 8k in it..
Fair for whom? It's one thing to take part in a deal not knowingly. A lot of shadow dealers and many small electronics shops sell goods (sometimes for a bargain/cheaper price) without giving a proper bill and product documentation to unsuspecting customers (if they do they would be liable to pay tax). But you ain't one of those. You boast that you
know. No, you and your friend-of-a-friend dealer
robbed 8k of govt. money, to put it plainly.
I hope you are not in(/ looking for a) career in public service or mainstream politics. I wouldn't be stupid enough to leave an internet trail to direct involvement in tax cheating practices.

Not it doesn't with the 12.5%
