Need suggestions for buying AC

Anyone's opinions on smart ac's from Panasonic?
What is this threads recommendation for a 1.5 ton AC under 50K, for Delhi summers and ideally with heating for winters.

Mitsubishi Heavy ones have it. Their 1.5 ton Split with Heat pump was quoted to me @58K
As for me, wasn't able to source a good fixed speed General one so settled for Inverter one, 1.5 ton Split @ 44K

Hey just wondering why would you prefer fixed speed one over inverter?

More Robustness
Longer lasting Compressor as it's not always"in operation"
Faster cooling ???
Plus my electricity is "free" so can use power guzzlers if they perform well.
And consider this, fixed speed units of both General and Mitsubishi are costlier than Inverter ones and are currently out of stock in most places. Even where the stock comes, it's all sold out within a day or two.

Hi, any idea what will be the market price of Mitsubishi 1.5T split a/c those who bought recently?

10 months back i'd purchased Mitsubishi 1.5 ton for 55k from an authorised offline Store. Installation was included or I don't remember maybe it was 1k extra and I also paid around 10 or 11k more for additional length.

Bought two LLoyd Ac's a week back. One was a 1 ton 5 star inverter wifi ac and another 1.5 ton 3 star non-inverter ac. Both 2023 models. 1 ton cost was 39,990 and 1.5 ton cost was 41,500. I exchanged two old Voltas ac which was 13 years old for Rs.8000/- each.

Any suggestions for window ACs in the <30k range please?
Usage:
- Delhi
- The room is 10x10.5, with a 5x6 north facing window.
- No direct sun on walls or window.
- There's 1 fan, 1 light, 1 PC, 1 person in the room usually.

I think 1 ton should suffice, but open to 1.5 ton, but would like to keep it as cheap as possible, so not looking for inverter ACs.
I'm considering the Lloyd 1 ton for 24k, as that has a 5.3k exchange offer on Amazon, which is more than I'm getting anywhere else. The seller is DAWNTECH ELECTRONICS PRIVATE LIMITED - anyone have any experience/knowledge of if they're good?

Are you looking to purchase it only from online platform or do you have offline as an option?

If you are looking for cheap ones then the Chinese brands will be the ones to go. But then the reliability, performance in the long run in questionable.

If you are looking for long term, then Voltas, O'general, Panasonic, Daikin and other well reputed brands have fixed motor ac's. The price may seem to be a bit on the higher side but whe you visit the showroom, the actual prices are much cheaper.

Online ones is like a lottery. The same can be sajd about offline too. But in the latter, you can easily get hold of the shopkeepers neck should anything go bad.

I won't be going with the chinese ones definitely. How's Lloyd/Havell's manufacturing quality/reputation?

I'm ok with buying offline but the CC discount and the exchange value being offered on that Lloyd 1 ton are making offline a much worse proposition. I've checked with Reliance and Croma offline stores and they either don't have stock for fixed speed window, or the exchange value + CC discount are making it a few k more expensive.

Wait, Havell makes AC!! o_O That is definitely news to me. Last I recall, they made fans, switches.

Honestly, I have no experience with these brands. For me, AC was a long term investment so I always stuck with the known players. I won't be able to help you on that.

How about other offline stores? I recall when I was getting my LG AC, the price on Amazon was on the higher side than the shop where I inquired and hence got it from there. If these shops also don't have fixed speed window ones, then getting it online would be a last resort.
Btw if given an option I will prefer a window AC compared to the split ones. But seems soon windows AC will be the thing of the past..

Unfortunately, yes! Apart from bombarding customers with features which hardly one uses, companies mint a lot of money on split than on window. Window are like the Redmi's, upto 20k is justifiable. Anything higher, customers complain why shouldn't they go with Samsung or 1+ etc. They are like trapped in cheaper price segment given our mentality.

I still got a window ac loyally serving us since last 22 yrs and must say its cooling starts the moment its powered-on unlike the slow split ones.
While my uncle got a Voltas windows AC still going strong since 90s. Not just build quality but the overall components and circuit etc. quality back then were top notch no doubt.
Hence the DOA thing never existed back then.
